Markets regulator Sebi on Friday extended the deadline till March-end to submit public comments on the proposed guidelines on the treatment of unclaimed funds and securities lying with brokers. Market watchdog SEBI has issued a warning letter to FMCG major Nestle India over alleged violation of Insider Trading norms by a senior official of the company. Nestle India has received an "administrative warning letter" from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) by a designated person of the company, according to regulatory filing on Friday.
Nestle India has not disclosed the identity of the person involved in this.
"The Compliance Officer of the Company has received an administrative warning letter from the Deputy General Manager of SEBI for violation of SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015 ('PIT Regulations') by a designated person of the Company," it said. Read More

India's forex reserves drop USD 1.78 bln to USD 638.698 bln
India's forex reserves dropped by USD 1.781 billion to USD 638.698 billion in the week ended February 28, the RBI said on Friday. The overall forex kitty had jumped by USD 4.758 billion to USD 640.479 billion in the previous reporting week.
At the end of September 2024, the forex reserves touched an all-time high of USD 704.885 billion.
For the week ended February 28, foreign currency assets, a major component of the reserves, decreased by USD 493 million to USD 543.35 billion, the data released on Friday showed.

FTSE 100 set for worst week this year amid tariff whiplash
UK shares dropped on Friday, with both the blue-chip and midcap indexes set for weekly declines, as growing uncertainty around U.S. trade policy kept investors cautious on equities.
The blue-chip FTSE 100 dropped 0.6% at 1040 GMT, with the index's export-oriented companies pressured by gains in the pound. The domestically focussed FTSE 250 fell 0.9%.

Gold slips below Rs 89,000-mark on muted demand, silver climbs Rs 500
Gold price slipped below Rs 89,000 per 10 grams in the national capital on Friday due to subdued domestic demand, according to the All India Sarafa Association. The precious metal of 99.9 per cent purity dipped by Rs 200 to Rs 88,900 per 10 grams registering its second day of decline.
Gold of 99.5 per cent purity also went lower by Rs 200 to Rs 88,500 per 10 grams.
Traders said reduced demand from local jewellers as well as retail buyers led to the fall in gold prices.
