    The Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana is a welfare initiative aimed at providing financial assistance of Rs 2,500 per month to economically weaker women across the state. Launched to empower women and improve their financial stability, this scheme is open to women aged 18 to 50 years and belonging to families holding ration cards issued by the Jharkhand government.

    The scheme ensures direct cash transfers to eligible beneficiaries, helping them meet essential expenses and improve the quality of their lives.

    Initially, the scheme provided Rs 1,000 per month, which was later increased to Rs 2,500 per month in December 2024 to strengthen economic stability among women. The last disbursement was made on January 7, 2025. However, the payments for February and March are still pending and are expected to be processed soon.

    As per the official website, women who qualify for the scheme will receive the financial assistance amount before the 15th of every month. The designated amount of Rs 2,500 will be directly credited to their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts, ensuring a seamless and transparent disbursement process.

      Who is eligible for Maiya Samman Yojana scheme?
      ·Resident of Jharkhand
      ·Age between 18 and 50 years
      ·Aadhaar-linked single (individual) bank account
      ·Women whose bank accounts are not Aadhaar-linked can avail the scheme benefits
      ·However, after this period, linking the bank account with Aadhaar will be mandatory.
      Families holding a ration card issued by the Jharkhand state government:
      ·Green Ration Card
      ·Yellow Ration Card (Antyodaya Anna Yojana - AAY)
      ·Pink Ration Card (Priority Household Card - PHH)
      ·White Ration Card (Kerosene Oil Ration Card - K-Oil)

      Who is not eligible?
      ·Families that pay income tax
      Note: "Family" refers to husband, wife, minor children, and differently-abled children.
      ·Applicants who contribute to the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF)
      ·The applicant or her husband is employed as a regular, contractual, or honorary worker in:
      ·Central/State Government
      ·Central/State Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)
      ·Legal bodies, local and urban bodies, or government-aided educational institutions
      ·Those receiving pension or family pension after retirement
      ·Applicants or their husbands receiving pension/family pension after retirement
      ·Beneficiaries already receiving benefits from other social security pension schemes run by the Department of Women, Child Development, and Social Security, Government of Jharkhand
      ·If any member of the applicant’s family is a current or former Member of Parliament (MP) or Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA)

      How to apply for Maiya Samman Yojana?

      Eligible women can apply through both online and offline methods.

      1. Online Application
      Visit the official portal: https://mmmsy.jharkhand.gov.in/
      Fill in the required details and upload scanned documents.
      Submit the application and track updates through the portal.

      2. Offline Application Process
      The forms will be distributed by Anganwadi workers and assistants free of cost by visiting households. Beneficiaries in rural areas can submit their applications at special camps organized at the panchayat level, while applicants in urban areas need to submit their forms at ward or Anganwadi center special camps. It is mandatory for applicants to be physically present at the camp for Aadhaar and photo verification. Before approving the application, officials will thoroughly verify the applicant's eligibility, documents, and bank details.
