On 19 March, Members from the Committee on Development will exchange views with Mr Tom Fletcher, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, on challenges affecting the humanitarian system, including impact of the recent US foreign aid suspension, plight of civilians and attacks on humanitarian aid sector.

7 Committee on Development MEPs, led by chair Barry Andrews, traveled to Tanzania to gather first-hand information on Global Gateway initiatives and other development cooperation projects on the ground and to assess their impact on the local economy and population.
