An excellent autopsy of why the West will lose the next naval war. Dmitry Filipoff systematically picks apart the key failures in naval assumptions over preparing for the fight, the arsenal and war stock issue, the wilful absence to import lessons from Iraq/Afghanistan/Syria/Israel/Ukraine (et al), and why selecting lessons from operations the Red Sea just won't be enough. It certainly got the host (the stoic Aaron B MacLean) more than a little concerned, and - as a former [rather poor] mariner myself - seems to hit the highlights. If you haven't read some of Dmitry's other reports they are thoroughly recommended. The lack of superficial gloss and naval evangelism makes them feel much more authentic than the mainstream naval reporting across Europe.
If you listen to one podcast this week, make it this one. That goes double for soldiers and force personnel. You really need to hear some of this stuff.
