United States Marine Corps MV-22B Ospreys from VMM-774 and VMM-764 conduct a formation flight over New Orleans on Feb. 9, 2025, as part of Super Bowl LIX events. For the first time in over a decade, the Marine Corps led the Super Bowl flyover, featuring two F-35B Lightning IIs and four MV-22 Ospreys, marking the start of a yearlong celebration leading up to the 250th Marine Corps Birthday. U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II aircraft with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 542 and MV-22B Ospreys with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadrons (VMM) 774 and 764 conducted a formation flight over New Orleans on February 7, 2025, ahead of Super Bowl LIX. As the lead service for this year’s Super Bowl flyover, the Marine Corps has participated in multiple events throughout the week, highlighting its history and capabilities.
