Last week, the 69th Beavers Woman in Heavy Civil Awards hosted a Women in Heavy Civil Luncheon where we had the incredible opportunity to participate in a truly inspiring event centered on mentorship. The theme was simple yet powerful: encouraging everyone in a mentoring role to ensure that at least one woman is part of their portfolio of mentees. We were honored to hear from Major General Kimberly Colloton, whose insights and leadership left a lasting impression. Her words reinforced the importance of inclusion and mentorship in building the next generation of leaders in heavy civil construction. As chair of the Women in Heavy Civil Committee, Mary Teichert was proud to share some remarks on the strides we’re making as an industry and the work still ahead. The conversation was expertly guided by our moderator, Talin Astourian Espinoza, who brought out some fantastic dialogue and perspectives. Together, we are making progress, one conversation and one mentor-mentee relationship at a time. Let’s keep lifting each other up and creating space for more women to thrive in this field!

ROC's annual Trunk or Treat at the Stockton Mobile Yard was a wicked success! Our team and their families dove into Halloween fun with pumpkin painting, chalk art, a ghoulish obstacle course, a bone-chilling dunk tank, and even costume and trunk decorating contests! We were honored to play a role in preserving the legacy of one of Marysville’s most beloved citizens, Cotton Rosser. It was a privilege for Teichert to build the foundation beneath his iconic statue, where he will forever tip his hat to the community. This project was for the community and brought together many dedicated teams from across the Teichert Family of Companies (Teichert Energy & Utilities Group, Teichert Construction, Teichert Materials, Western Aggregates, and Mathews Readymix LLC) along with some of our trusted partners: Conco Pumping, NorCal Equipment, GPRS, Rodriguez Portables, Morrow Surveying and White Cap. We are deeply grateful to the Rosser family for including us in this meaningful tribute and for the honor of placing a brick at Cotton's feet. Exciting progress on our 5-phase gas mainline and services replacement project in Sunland, CA! Despite a tight timeline, close HOA quarters, and navigating private utilities, our amazing team has successfully completed the first 3 phases safely and efficiently.
