  • Did you know? Water trucks play a crucial role on heavy-civil construction sites. They help control dust, compact soil, and keep work areas safe, clean and efficient.      Whether it’s prepping a foundation or maintaining air quality, these trucks are essential to getting the job done right.    Shoutout to our friends at Hawthorne Cat, who we partner with to ensure we have the highest quality equipment for our jobsites.     PC: Helmer Reyes

  • “My journey with Goodfellow Bros. began in 2017 at a university recruitment session. Their presentation on the Grand Coulee Dam left a lasting impression—not just on GBI’s rich history but its innovative spirit. I knew then this was the kind of company I wanted to be part of.   My passion for building started long before that day. Growing up, I loved working on projects around the house, inspired by my uncle, a heavy-civil contractor. His stories led me to pursue a degree in construction management at California State University, Chico, a perfect fit for my love of building.   Now, after more than two years with GBI’s Oregon Region, I serve as a Project Manager, ensuring crews are supported, schedules and budgets are met, and projects meet the highest standards—with safety as my top priority. One of my proudest achievements is the Cedar Park and Base Camp Action Sports project in Sandy, Oregon. Managing it from start to finish and seeing its impact on the community has been incredibly rewarding. Watching families enjoy the park reminds me why I love this work.   Outside of the job, I prioritize work-life balance. When I’m not on-site, you’ll find me rock climbing, bow hunting, or camping with my wife and our German Shorthair Pointer.   What I love most about GBI is the diversity of projects and endless opportunities for growth. I’m excited for the future and committed to building a long-term career here—with the goal of one day retiring with the company.   My name is Scott Thrash, Project Manager for the Oregon Region… and I am proud to be part of the Goodfellow family.” #WeAreGBI #ProjectManager
