  • 🏄🏼 As the only professional athletic sport native to Hawaii, surfing is a part of the islands' deep cultural heritage, making it a natural fit for the World Surf League (WSL) to partner with Hawaii Pacific Health Bone & Joint Centers and Hawaii Pacific Health Medical Group (HPHMG) to care for their athletes. Dr. Spencer Chang, HPHMG orthopedic surgeon, serves as the WSL's medical director and is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of professional surfers as they compete in the WSL Lexus Pipeline Pro on Oahu's North Shore through Feb. 8. The Banzai Pipeline is known for having some of the strongest and most dangerous waves in the world. Dr. Chang is helping keep these athletes safe from potential injuries and performing their best while they take on the surf at its most extreme. It's an honor to support the WSL and keep these world-class athletes in top form both in and out of the waves. 🌊 🤙🏼
