Today was International Men’s Day! How is it that no big deal is made out of this? 🤔 A lot of men, myself included, tend to keep things quiet. We often bottle things up, not wanting to burden others. Instead, we take it on the chin, shrug it off, and keep going. But here’s a reminder: Be proud of who you are. You’re doing just fine. Support one another, and take time to celebrate the wins—big or small. 💪🏼📈 #InternationalMensDay #MensHealth #MenSupportingMen #MentalHealthAwareness #PersonalGrowth

“Athletics is starting to realize that concussion care is truly a team approach,” says National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) President AJ Duffy. “I always tell my athletes, ‘My responsibility is to make sure you get the best healthcare possible. And it’s up to you as the athlete to be honest with me about how you’re feeling because I’m going to believe what you tell me. If you lie to me, you’re lying to yourself and putting yourself further at risk. It’s also your teammates' responsibility to recognize symptoms and tell if something’s off.’” We agree wholeheartedly about it being a team sport—which is why our CAN Coalition is made up of 18 different organizations, all committed to increasing research, advocacy, and awareness around concussions. Over the next several months, we’ll be highlighting each of these individual organizations through a Partner Spotlight series. Our CEO Tatiana Fofanova, Ph.D. has been chosen to represent Koda Health as a 2024 Rock Health Innovation Fellow! This fellowship serves to advance #digitalhealth solutions that prioritize marginalized and neglected communities in health like Koda's ACP Platform. We're proud to have intentionally crafted our #AdvanceCarePlanning Experience that published research shows is bridging equity gaps across historically disadvantaged demographic groups. This is through thoughtful design decisions centering these very populations that are often afterthoughts in our healthcare system. For example: - Our #product is a cloud-based patient platform that functions optimally using any internet-enabled device, no matter how old it is. -Our #KodaCares program provides a human touch to patients who need it ranging from the seriously ill to those who are unable to read. We believe ACP should be available for all and continue to refine our products to reflect this mission! As we grow as a company, we're eager to implement the insights provided during this fellowship towards better #patientoutcomes and innovations that best serve the needs of these communities.

Somehow my camera roll isn’t full; But I’m not going to fill your newsfeed with the hundreds of pictures and screen shots I took over the last few days anyway. Suffice it to say this was a conference for the books. There are a lot of people who say they are senior move managers that technically lack the proper certification. Over the last 4 days Lori and I participated in 26 different classes to soak up as much knowledge and information as we could. We took notes to share facts and details with one another and in between classes we talked to other professionals in the industry to discuss shared experiences and solutions that worked (or didn’t work). We met move managers from all over the world, some of which I’ve worked with long distance, others I look forward to being able to recommend in the future. This was our third conference and I whole heartedly believe every conference has given us more knowledge to better assist our clients. So many people are struggling with hoarding situations… Others are not sure of their next step; should they move to an independent community, assisted living, or “simply” age in place?.. Adult children that are anxious about the best way to help aging family members. These annual conferences and the NASMM community have been such a wealth of support and resources to have in our pocket over the years. I feel so much more qualified to assist our clientele because of the aid and experience we have gained from this large extended family we have become a part of ❤️ #movemanagers #nasmm2024 #NASMM #Ethics #downsizingseniors #downsizing #seniors #chicago #thebeanchicago #hoarding #hoardingcleanup #aginggracefully #aginginplace #seniorcommunities #SeniorCommunityLiving #knowledgeispower

Yesterday evening we hosted the Gala dinner at the 2024 Global Learning Conference, celebrating 5 years of The Ehlers-Danlos Society's EDS ECHO program! In a world where rare and complex diseases often struggle to find a voice, the EDS ECHO program stands as a beacon of success. As we celebrate its 5th anniversary, we reflect on a journey that began in April 2019, transforming education and care for Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS) and hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD) globally. EDS ECHO was established to address the need for specialized knowledge and care strategies for often misunderstood EDS and HSD conditions. Using the Project ECHO® model’s “all teach, all learn” philosophy, it aims to move knowledge, not people, creating a scalable impact on health. This model fosters collaboration, empowering healthcare professionals to enhance their skills while maintaining patient care responsibility. Watch the video to see the impact EDS ECHO has made: https://lnkd.in/eHN57-Me #EDSECHO #EhlersDanlosSyndrome #EDS #HSD #Hypermobility #HypermobilitySpectrumDisorders #Health #Healthcare #ProjectECHO
