Really cute little concept! I liked that there are different movement modes and capabilities based on what amount of balls your snowman has. The levels were a little easy and also not always ordered from easiest to hardest, but still very well done for the time you had! I really liked the art and little details like animations when jumping. Good job!
I love the artwork, it looks beautiful and very cozy! Unfortunately I couldn't really ' play' anything, as the only thing I could do was click on the stars and they would make a sound. Did I miss something or is the game still in development? I hope you all keep working on this because it looks beautiful!
Loved it! A super cozy little game! I liked walking around and finding things, especially with the light puzzle elements like brewing hot chocolate. The graphics looked nice too! It's been a while since I've seen a Love2D game but I love (pun intended) to see it! What I found most cute is that you yourself are the last thing required to find <3
Cool little experience, very impressive that you managed to create 3 seperate games in just 1 gamejam! I liked the winterized take on classic videogames too, very cozy :) The hitbox on the snowball roll seemed a bit big though (I kept dying when I thought I'd dodge something), and I didn't know how to control the second paddle in pong, but other then that I really enjoyed. Good job!
Very cool little experimental concept, I dig it! I like the idea that the snowflakes interact with the keys. Took me 2 seconds to figure out how it worked but it was intuitive enough! I kind of wish it would auto tune to form some cool melodies but I guess that defeats the idea of the snorgan haha. I actually managed to create some pretty harmonious notes, but I'm also no musical expert so it might be done even better. Good job on this cool little game!
I'm impressed by what you managed to make in such a short period of time! I also really liked the concept of a photography game, and the idea of different species and subspecies that you need to capture. The creatures look very nice and I love their little animations. The controls feel very solid which is impressive too. All in all a very cool gamejam entry! Thanks for participating in the jam :)
I really liked the vibe on this game, starting with the overview in the main menu screen! It looked nice and I got cozy winter vibes for sure :) However, the game was a bit disorienting and hard to control which made me die before I could remove all snowmen unfortunately. But I like the concept and think that with a bit of polish it could be even more awesome!
It's weird for sure! Pretty cool idea with a lot of randomness and weirdness haha, reminds of those dream simulator games. There was more to this game than I first expected, but nothing is explained really so I just clicked around and found cool things. I have no idea how to buy upgrades though. But it was pretty fun seeing all the different unique cat designs!
Really awesome pixelart and level vibe! You nailed the winter aesthetic! The monster design is also very cool, plus I loved all the little animations. I solved the puzzle by brute forcing all combinations, but was kind of confused when then nothing much happened - but I get it as you do run out of time during a gamejam! I'd love to see this game being developed further with some cool puzzles and such. Good job on making this game :)
What concept is there that is more appealing than to flee from society and live in a remote cabin in the woods? I've thought about this a lot. So this game was very appealing to me. I really liked the simple way in which you portrayed this concept and it was actually really relaxing to play! The cabin looks nice and warm too :) The game just stopped at a certain point when I went to get some wood (for the 3rd time I think?), and I got a gray screen, so I assume that's the ending or a bug? Anyway, good job on making this game, I enjoyed it!
Very cute little game! You clearly put in a lot of work to get the game as polished as it is and it shows! I really liked the core mechanics and interactions. The artstyle also looks cute, I'm digging the pixels. One thing I'd have liked to see is some challenges that get progressively harder, I kind of felt like I had exhausted my duties after playing for a couple minutes. It might also be nice to be able to carry multiple items at once so you don't have to keep walking back and forth. But it's very impressive what you've made in just a weekend and it's a good base for expanding upon, should you wish to do so.
I really liked this concept! Even though I didn't find any players to play with, it was still very fun to roam around and build myself a small snow castle. The mechanics are well implemented and this would be very fun with friends. The only thing I'd like to see is that placing blocks is instant instead of taking time because right now it takes a while to build a castle. The first person controller can also be a bit slidy so it's hard to stay on blocks when jumping around, but that's just nitpicking. Fun concept and very well executed for your first gamejam! Congrats!
Thanks for your reply! I appreciate your honesty. No worries, missing a rule can happen to everyone! I will however have to ask you to replace your AI generated thumbnail with some original art or a screenshot, just so it is in line with rules. Thanks for understanding and thanks for joining in the jam!
Hi there! I didn't get the chance to play your game yet unfortunately, but I'm wondering something about your thumbnail art. Did you make that art yourself or was it AI generated? If it's AI generated, there is a rule against AI generated content in the jam. Excuse me if you made the art yourself and I'm falsely accusing you, but the style just seems very AI-ish. Please let me know, thanks.
I loved it! It was so sweet to have an army of little squirrels chasing me around and doing whatever I said. It was super fun gather them by collecting nuts and then using them to collect objects. The art was amazing and the animations solid too! The only thing I'd give as feedback is I wish the world was a little smaller and that there would be less objectives to collect, as you run quite slow and there is a lot to do! But other than that, I think this is a really cool game! Thanks so much for participating in the jam :)
I liked it! It was very bittersweet indeed, but still had that nice cozy fall vibes. I actually really liked the painting mechanic of the trees. One thing I'd improve is that I felt it went a bit slow, and maybe it'd have been good to 'complete' a tree automatically after 70/80% of it has been painted, so it's a bit less tedious? I was curious how you did the painting, is it done with a custom shader? It also wasn't clear to me that I had to press escape to get out of the painting screen, I thought that'd happen automatically after completing the tree. The other mechanics also felt smooth, like interacting with things. The bird song was very sweet. Overall very cool little concept and well executed! Thanks for joining the jam!
Ohh, a very interesting concept for sure! It took me a second to understand how it worked exactly, but when I got it it worked quite well. With a few exceptions, where it wouldn't always transfer nicely onto other stuff that was. Sometimes it was a little difficult to get small stuff in the background, as foreground stuff would easily cover it entirely, and that was the main difficulty I had with the game. In lvl 2 there were some small vines in the background, for example, and they were pretty hard to actually color in. But I like the idea a lot and the worlds seem nicely designed too! Very cozy fall vibes too :) Thanks for participating in the jam and congrats on making a game!
Cool concept, there is a LOT going on here and there seems to be a lot of depth to this game, with all the different gear and trading and such! I think for me, it was a little overwhelming to begin with. I think it would have made it a bit easier if everything that you couldn't use was grayed out, and then slowly things would be unlocked and explained! I did figure out how to grow tomatoes tho, which I was proud of :) But yes, a mini tutorial on how to use the gear would have been nice. But it's clear that a lot of love and time has gone into this and I hope that with some more tutorials it'll be a bit easier to play! Thanks for participating in the jam and good job on finishing a game!
WOW! That was such a cool experience! You caught me totally off guard with the simple art in the beginning. I was like "Oh cool it's a game about DLC, but surely this'll be the art for the whole game", but nope! I love that twist! Like others said, definitely a gamble to start off with a basic game and work towards something bigger but that's what I love about gamejam games. The whole concept was super well thought out and executed. It never overstayed it's welcome too, the new DLC popups were perfectly timed to not let you wait around more than needed. The whole game is super funny too. I laughed out loud multiple times. I really enjoyed the whole game overall, and don't really have any critique whatsoever, which means you all did a fantastic job! Thanks so much for participating in the jam :)
Congrats on making a game and thanks for participating in the jam! I liked the concept of having to switch your color leaf sucker to suck up different leaves. It was nice to have immediate feedback on your progress with the lvl bar. One thing that I'd like to see is a element of challenge in the further levels, like items that bounce around in the screen that you have to avoid.
Very cool concept and well executed as well! I was on a slow computer so it did lag quite a bit, but it was still semi playable. You always get me with your amazing grass physics. The dancer's (procedural?) animations were also very well done and added a very whimsical touch to the whole thing. I liked how simple this game it, yet how effective the concept is. Good job and thanks for participating!
A fun concept that I could see being refined into a very fun game! I liked the movement and I think that if you're going to keep working on this game, that that should be the focal point: fun jumpy stuff! In addition to that I'd love to see in-air steering, as I think it adds a lot to it. The level is a bit big right now, but if you were to condens it, add more trampolines and tricky jumps, maybe even some moving elements, I could see this being even more awesome! I did really like the cozy pumpkin and treehouse look, it reminded me of monkey island and such. Good job and thanks for participating!
I really liked this little cozy concept of a game! It's easy to understand and make something very pretty. I think it's a simple concept that's very well executed. The artstyle is cute and the little animations add a lot of life to the pumpkins. The only critique that I'd have is that it's a little hard to control. The controls for moving the camera could be simplified I feel like. Other than that, I'd love to see more decorations of course, but I already think you did a great job with a basic assortment for the jam. I'm curious as to how you did the pumpkin randomizations? I'd love to learn more about that. Thanks for participating in the jam and good job on finishing a game!
