There are two requirements that you need to pass story progression wise, first you need to go to the planet Kylk (with the big egg on the mountain) to download the Cartogropher's Sphere data, and then finally visit Pallas Base and talk to the Progenitor inside the base within the cave.

Once you've passed the two requirements, the game will let you pass IF you have the 50 T and S relics and completed the two story requirements.

Sorry for the issues, the GOG installer for 1.2.0.0130_Bundle is now uploading and will be ready shortly. I'll post an update once it's done! For version reference, 1.2 is the Major and Minor, and 0130 means released 30/01. This installer also includes the Director's Cut of the original game that was released yesterday too.

You'll be able to download the new installer through normal means on itch.io.

We are currently uploading a new build to Steam, GOG and Itch.io. GOG produce the installer within a couple of hours, so as soon as the new version goes gold we will link it within the purchase as usual.

Thank you, it took a very long time replicating and enhancing the original maps from MQ. Yes, theres some backtracking later on in the game hence why some chests you cant get to yet.

It is safe to download the new version and restore your game from that one, all progress will be kept (put the new version in a new folder to be safe) and bugs that may have cropped up in the old version will be fixed and work for your new version.

Stat boosters are a definate, but after Cormac's ship quest you do have the option of buying really neat gear, so keep that in mind :)

Really appreciate the feedback, to answer your questions;

-Indeed, there was a new room added there but we removed it as it was redudant. 

-This actually duplicates a mystic quest behaviour, so this was intended.

-You can reach this chest from the Kaidge Temple later on in the game with use of the Mobius and Gemini Crests. This is for a secret side quest :)

-It sounds like it's bugged, which I'll fix :)

With the 1.04 Update, we've addressed the following issues;

-Removed poison at end of battle

-Fixed a bug that would crash the game when viewing trophies

-Moved positions of NPCS in Hollow Town inn from getting in the way of the bed.

-Fixed enemy speed to stop them always being faster than the players.

-Fixed some game stopping bugs when checking for Steam.

A lot of issues were caused when decoupling the itch.io version from the steam version so we will fix as much as we can soon. Thanks again!

Only two results have come back, which is definately false positive. This is because of the use of an executable packer, which commonly can flag up as a false positive. Jacob's Quest is 100% safe to add to your exclusions.

Such an excellent game especially for preview stage. A real AA Contender. Well done, Ancient Gears! :)
