Having a lot of fun with this. Great atmosphere. Only request would be a screen resolution setting as the game does not scale properly on my 2560x1600 screen.

Not sure if it is intentional, but coming down from a jump into the top part of the wall, the character passes right through and falls to its death. Just FYI.

What this undead creature doesn't realize is... I'm already dead.

Great silky smooth animation work! I would like to see better angles for the ranged attacks. Being able to shoot from chains or from above would be most excellent. Looking forward to more.

Ok. So I'm an idiot. LOL Didn't realize two very important things. Double jump and the sword. That slightly helps. I would get into situations like this...

...where there was no time to slide after the jump. Didn't realize you could swing your sword and take it out. Nice!

Speaking of which... as I've been playing this I realized this could very easily be turned into a rhythm game with those three lanes (Guitar Hero style). Could be a gameplay option. Probably a ton of extra work, but it seems the way this game is laid out it would adapt nicely to that. Either way, having a lot of fun with this and love the randomly generated obstacles.

It was late when I was giving it a go so probably just my bad game skills. I’ll try it out more this weekend. Love the look of the game.

This turned out nicely. Saw a few of your videos awhile back as you were developing the game. Two things I had difficulty with as I was playing. The first was sliding. There is a slight delay from when you hit down to when the character actually slides. I realize that is probably intentional, but it gets a little wonky at times. The other is the "slow down" power up. I was going slow enough where there was no way I was going to clear a log in my path. Regardless, it's beta and I think it's got great potential. Nice work!

Wow. No truck yet, but huge performance improvement on v0.2. Nice.

"i hope it was an enjoyable 30 seconds of gameplay haha."

Hey, I love this kind of stuff. Far Cry was born from a Crytek dinosaur tech demo shown at E3 called X-Isle. I think the last build of it still runs on modern systems.

This really stresses out a 3090 GPU. Especially when looking at the trees on the right. LOL Anyway, where's the truck? I see it in your screenshot, but not in the actual tech demo.

It would be really nice if one could toggle the camera between free-look and the bounce-back you have on it currently. The bounce-back camera is driving me nuts. Looks like a cute game otherwise.

It finally works! Awesome! I have a very early version from March 2022. The file size has increased significantly. Has more content been added?

Thx. Interesting approach. Get the soda bottle and speed up. Good idea. The turning is still stiff. There needs to be a little play in turning.

Also, did the brightness get cranked? The world is very bright now whereas before it looked perfect. I really hope this get fleshed out into a full game. It's a fantastic start!

Edit: Maybe loosen the camera in relation to the boat? I'm not a dev unfortunately so my wording may be off. Cheers!

Fun graphical world you have created here. Two things stick out immediately though. The very stiff turning (should have some give) and the sense of speed. There should be a way to shift up the speed to get better times. Nice work!

Is there an actual demo download somewhere?

That did the trick. It's like that old Reeses's peanut butter cup commercial. You put your upload into my download! LOL

Purchased, but unfortunately your zip file is corrupt. Demo download seems fine.

Web version or download? The download version works fine for me. Although, I hope the dev will implement a true fullscreen option and definable key bindings.

Great. The UI was the bigger of the two issues imo. Thanks for looking into that. Love the drunk guy. Hilarious!

It would be nice in future builds to have a resolution setting. My 2560x1600 screen is not scaling the game properly. As you can see it runs off the edges. Cheers!

Wow! What a nice Christmas present. Very well done. Loving it.

Wow. This is a ton of fun. Nice work. Is there a full screen mode?

Last image on this page is getting a "A resource is blocked by OpaqueResponseBlocking, please check browser console for details." error. Tried multiple browsers. All other images display correctly.

Nice proof of concept. Ran into a couple of collision detection issues regarding the static pillar obstacles throughout the tunnel. Certain times the ship will just pass through them unaffected, other times the ship will clearly avoid them and still explode. I've attached a screenshot of when this happens. It shows right before the ship crashes into nothing as it passes the obstacle. Also, would like to see keyboard controls as the mouse control is fairly sensitive. Great start!

My only comment is... wow! Very polished feel to it. Did you do the art and animation as well?

Excellent!

Download?

Thanks. Looking forward to it.

Download?

Broken. Exe is looking for missing DLL files.

Both files appear to be duplicates.

Bug report: Character gets stuck when you hit the side of the ramp on the first level.

Holy crap man!!! The dynamic view is amazeballs! Love it. It runs smooth as a baby's bottom for me, but I'm running on a 3090 GPU.

Edit: Ok, it did stutter in one area briefly with the CRT filter and the dynamic camera. It was minimal though.

Awesome! Love the game. There have been numerous River Raid clones etc in the past, but yours is quality. Thanks for making it!

I was able to solve both problems I was having (Windows version) of crashing and some enemies not moving by disabling "SLO-MO". Hope that narrows down the problem for you. Great work you've done here!

Sounds good. The crashing happens every time you die when in that narrow area. Tested on Windows 10. Also, I noticed in certain areas of the river the baddies stay still and do not move. Is this intentional? Just curious. Cheers!

Looks great! Needs some optimization. A bit jerky when you first start flying down the river, but eventually it smooths out. Also, there is slowdown when you take out a bridge. Not sure if that is intentional. The game crashes to the desktop if I run into a wall in the very narrow part of the river map where you see the first hot air balloon. Hope to see more updates! One of the best 3D implementations of River Raid I've seen.

No thoughts, head empty.
