Summarise your game!
Starfox meets Skyward Sword.
3D action game where you play as a mass of virus, speeding and cutting your way through your host's circulatory system. A morphing mechanic allows you to change the shape of the mass to cut thru enemy lines or pass in small gap.
Can be played with Keyboard or Gamepad.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
Use the morph ability to go through obstacles and fight legions of white cells.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
The morphing mechanic is a new twist on the Starfox style loop, allowing a different approach to combat and obstacle design.

I had a lot of fun beating this game! It reminded me of the lava tunnel level from Wallace and Gromit: Project Zoo. The only criticism I have is that the floaty camera made judging perspective difficult at some times.
Cool game! I like how you balanced the difficulty, it was a challenge without being overly hard.
I had the weird feeling that the game was "pulsing", as if the player movement speed wasn’t constant. Is that possible, or is it just my impression?
No changes to the player's speed, but I animated the camera FOV slightly to the rhythm of the heartbeat, witch made it look like you were jostle around a bit :)
Great game! Morph-cutting felt nice, something of a step-up from regular quick-time events. Sounds and background music are nice to listen to and fit the theme pretty well! Present checkpoint system is a great addition for casual players. My only critique here would be that it is sometimes hard to see what's happening ahead, behind yourself and enemy groups. It is most prominent after a 75% checkpoint though, so not that critical.
The game is responsive and primary controls are pretty intuitive.
I also like that you have low poly version of your screenshots in game, maybe that is unintended.
One bug which isnt a dealbreaker was I can clip through some of the outer edges.
Congrats!
this game is really cool! :D I really liked the feel of the game, and the music and SFX were wonderful with the panning and slowing at low health! I really liked the game's mechanics; it felt very robust and satisfying. The only thing is I think the tutorial should communicate better what to do with the white blood cell clusters. additionally, sometimes the special effects (while really pretty) made it hard to see what was ahead of me, making it harder to dodge things or collect heals. Really cool game though! It felt wonderful to play and had a cool style! I don't know if this is too obscure but it reminded me a lot of the final boss from ty the Tasmanian Tiger, except that was really not fun (from what I can remember) and this is fun! Good job on your submission! :D
Thank you so much!
Cool take on rails like games! Cutting and morphing feels smooth and pretty fluid. I thought at first I could cut the single white cells. Oops. Music and SFX are great. Level gets pretty tough! If there's an end I did not make it haha! Keep working on this. It's very cool!
Love the look and feel of this game, I'd would love to see a version with more enemy types. Nice job!
Really cool game! i like the concept and what you did with the theme! it feels amazing, i had difficulties to get used to the controlls, but thats just me not being used to mnk! i haven't tried the controler option tho- all in all really cool take! good job~
Fun game! Good controls and nice difficulty ramp. Really felt like there were moments where you could enter the flow of the game and really get into it, especially near the end. There were times where it was difficult to see beyond the player model though, which made it hard to parse what was coming for me on screen. As well it took me a bit to get the right angles for the cuts, which made it feel somewhat frustrating in my first few attempts. Overall I really enjoyed it, I think you did a great job!
This game feels amazing to play. It was a little difficult to do 5 consecutive shape changes, but the healing was nicely spread throughout the level. The graphics and music were great, they fit perfectly together. You polished this thing to a shine. I think that it might be better to give the player more of an explanation in-game on how to deal with the lined-up obstacles, because it took me a minute to discover I needed to go the opposite direction as them. Overall, an amazing entry. Amazing work!
Thank you! And yeah I agree, thanks for powering through and the great comment!
Cool game, very unique twist! To me it feels like a combo of Luke trying to destroy the death star and beat saber, haha very fun! I think the only you are really missing is some kind of tutorial or in game explanation of the morphing mechanic because it took me a little while to figure it out. The controls were nice, gameplay was very smooth, and the music was awesome! Great work!
Yeah I agree, my bad for not playtesting enough. I'm glad you still had fun once it clicked however, that seems to be the general consensus.
Thanks for playing!
Challenging yet rewarding gameplay! it also sort of reminded me of beatsaber a little bit. Very cool graphics, sound, and concept!
Interesting feel. I wonder if Netflix would have dubbed it with [Suspenseful music] or [Eerie music]
Overall a good job :D
Nice game! I was too slow to evade the attacks. Plays really well, awesome work!
Pretty cool mechanic, the only grip that i have is that it sometimes a bit hard to figure out your actual position relative to the world, though that might just be me.
Other than that, it seems to be a relatively simple game executed well, good job.
Thanks for the feedback and glad you like it.
I knew that precision with a perspective like this was going to be a challenge. One of my cut features was to have a projection of the player appearing onto upcoming obstacles to help you align yourself, I simply ran out of time.
That sounds like a good solution for it.
Excellent work! Gamepad controls working like a charm. The dualstick approach to moving and morphing was executed really well. Music changing when you are at low health definitely earns a plus!
I was planning to comment that the "slits" were impossible to dodge on the latter half of the game. But now, writing this comment, I see the gif on the left hand side showing how the virus morphs to align with slit to dodge it. So I won't comment that. I will instead run the game again!
Great game. It tooks me some attempts to understand that I have to counter the enemies morphs, but it totally make sense. Also good music and movement.
Really cool concept and execution! Super cool you did a 3D game in just two weeks. The SFX were satisfying and the timing of dodging felt like a pretty unique rhythm game. If had to think of some feedback there were some times when it was visual hard/impossible to see oncoming white blood cells so maybe at a certain close distance their flashing red should be visible through obstacles or the player?
Overall great game and good work!
Good idea for the highlighting through wall, wish I had though of it, it`s so simple too haha
Thanks for the feedback and glad you enjoyed it!
Gameplay is so addictive. Love the music and the idea. Cool :D
Very Cool! Graphics are way nice. Game play makes 100% sense immediately. Wished it went faster, or like a accelerate button? Cool animations
