Use of the limitation
By using the flip a coin mechanic at the end. Also, flipping a coin is a form of pushing your luck so we made a game where you have to push your skill and luck by clicking on the randomly rolling icons.

zero, I had no time. Literally poured 16 hours from Friday to Sunday into this thing.

The concept and use of the limitation are very interesting, but I feel as those the information presented in game is sorely lacking. It was not immediately clear to me what the controls were, and I'm still unsure of what would result in me being caught, as well as what the coin flip is affecting.

The concept incorporates both the theme and the limitation well. I'm unsure whether I understood the rules correctly, but it's still fun when playing around with the rolling mechanism and trying out my luck. The visuals are also great!

Regarding the presentation, I think the tutorial can be made clearer (especially the specific controls) and slower, ideally by waiting for a click at each step. Could also explain a bit more in-game, e.g. why I was caught by the fox, what is the effect of the coin flip, etc.

Liked the concept but I seemed to always get caught

High score of 6! I didn't *quite* get the roulette mechanic I think, lining up 3 carrots or 1 carrot and foxes or blanks seemed to be about the same as long as you clicked on the carrot, and after a certain amount of time the fox just seems to get you. I quite liked the art and the coin mechanic was a good way of incorporating the jam limitation, though it does seem to end your run regardless of outcome or choice. Good work getting this over the line in time!

Loved the music and art! I might have just missed it when I was playing, but some more distinguishable indicators when stopping a roll and selecting a hole might help clear up confusion. Great job!

Fun take on the theme. I have to say I really like the pixel art, its really good. Fox seems to have always caught me though, not sure if I was doing it right.

For some constructive feedback:

  • Slow down the tutorial so its easier to read
  • UI Scaling went out of my window meaning it was difficult to read the text
  • Add an exit button so I can leave the game (for desktop players)

Good job and nice YT channel!

Sorry the UI is messed up, I uploaded 40 mins before the deadline and I needed to go to sleep. side note: right click to stop the roll, left click to select which option. It was a bug I knew about but I couldn't manage to fix in time.

UI is definitely a massive time sink to work on for every resolution so no worries!

Thanks for the heads up, ill defo try playing it again now that I understand more :)

I understand that this is a good idea, but if you refine it, complete the training, and make the interface more intuitive, it would most likely be a treat. When you play my game, you can point out the flaws as much as possible.

It's a neat idea but it seems to crash a few turns in.

yeah. just fixed it. The original version you played is the downloadable version, but the game should work now!
