🌟✨ Westinghouse is wrapping up the inaugural #StarsAlliance Leadership and Supplier Annual (SALSA) Conference in Glendale, AZ this week!   We joined more than 150 STARS supplier-partners for two days of leadership meetings, innovative presentations and a supplier showcase, focused on collaboration and driving strategic growth.

Westinghouse is pleased to announce it has been awarded an engineering services contract to support an Extended Power Uprate (EPU) at a nuclear station in the southern U.S.    Westinghouse’s three-phased uprating process has resulted in a 100% success rate for achieving power upratings at plants throughout the world. The first two phases of this process, the Joint Expert Panel Review and the Feasibility Study, have already been completed. As a result, Westinghouse is now prepared to support Phase 3 – the Implementation Phase which includes development of the Engineering Report, Licensing Report, and License Amendment Request (LAR).   Westinghouse looks forward to working in close partnership with its utility customer to complete Phase 3 and ensure the successful implementation of the EPU program which will provide a time and cost-effective way to allow the utility to provide increased clean energy from their existing station.   Learn more about Westinghouse's power uprate process and experience ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eE5wnBau

🎙️ We are proud to share the latest Westinghouse interview on 3DPrint.com, featuring Adam Travis, Global Additive Manufacturing Program Leader. Adam talks about the #AdditiveManufacturing evolution, its application and added value in the nuclear sector, and how this technology has shortly become a breakthrough for the whole industry. We are teaming with Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co.,Ltd. to conduct a Technical Feasibility Study (TFS) for GEN energija, d.o.o. to evaluate the deployment of an AP1000® reactor in Slovenia. The study will be for the proposed Krško-II Nuclear Power Plant project, which is planned at an adjacent location to the existing Krško plant that is based on Westinghouse technology. We’re pleased that the TFS will extend our decades long partnership with GEN energija that has been built on supporting the successful operation of the current Krško plant. 🌟 Yesterday, we engaged with nuclear parliamentarians at the Nuclear Skills and Apprenticeship Fair at the Terrace Pavilion, House of Commons in London. This is a unique event to showcase the opportunities nuclear presents for jobs, skills and #CareerDevelopment. Seven early career apprentices from Westinghouse had the chance to engage with Lords and Members of Parliament.   Providing an opportunity for MPs and Lords to interact with the #NextGeneration of #NuclearIndustry professionals, this event is part of #NuclearWeek in Parliament. Held from January 27-29 in the UK, over 1,000 industry representatives and 100 Parliamentarians across 21 events meet to help drive the sector forward and keep the momentum for the civil nuclear sector. 📸 Dr. Rita Baranwal, Andrew Snowden MP, Helen Wright, Jon Brough
