"Over the past decade, the rate of Postpartum Depression and Preeclampsia has doubled, and still only 25% of women are reaching baby feeding medical recommendations alongside their personal goals. The health and well-being of a parent is deeply connected to baby feeding and yet they are always treated in silos. That’s why we are steadfastly dedicated to changing the model and wrap each family in complete care." says Andrea Ippolito in this PR announcing our latest round of funding. SimpliFed's mission has always been to support families, and now we're able to support them in every way they need. Huge thank you to our existing at investors Morningside Technology Advisory LLC, The Venture Collective (TVC), Empire State Development, Waterline Ventures, many previous Angels, and new investors at The Artemis Fund Cultivation Capital, and American Heart Association Social Impact Fund for further fueling our goals. This #maternalhealthawarenessday we celebrate all the advances we've made while still recognizing how much work we have to do. One thing that is consistently missing in the typical maternal care pathway: meeting families where they're at! We tell women to speak up and out, to advocate for themselves. But what if we advocated for them? What if we discussed preventing a bad outcome long before they would need the care to begin with? That's what we're doing at SimpliFed. There is no such thing as a typical baby feeding journey. That's why SimpliFed isn't your typical baby feeding company. Our patients know we're with them for every part of the journey. When it's hard, when it's not, and when it's hard again. More of this in 2025, please. #babyfeeding #breastfeeding #testimonial

This latest study detailing the importance of correct flange sizing proves what our care delivery team has been arguing since SimpliFed started. Flange size does, in fact, matter. Utilizing the correctly sized parts for a breast pump has many benefits including a higher output, less pain or discomfort and the ability to pump for longer. And it requires trial and error. Testing and changing out sizes to see what works best for each new parent. The status quo is to tell lactating individuals their bra size may change or even tell them about specialty designed ones for nursing or hands-free pumping. But why isn't everyone talking about how to size the breast pump and its parts that they'll be using for countless hours a day? We sure do. And now we have some more proof of just why everyone else should be too. Read the full study here: https://lnkd.in/gUcjZcTw And thank you Lisa Anders PhD, RN, IBCLC, Jeanette Mesite Frem MHS, IBCLC, RLC, CCE for this study and the continued work you do for patients and families! #breastfeeding #maternalhealth #lactation

We predict big things for Women’s Health in 2025. From our corner of the market, here’s what we see coming: 👏 Total care versus a point solution: The journey from pregnancy to postpartum to toddlerhood (and maybe back again!) is not easy. Focusing on a single moment completely discounts what it took to get there. 🤰🏿 Preventative care versus treatment: Things like iron supplements and baby aspirin during pregnancy can be lifesavers for families. Not to mention meeting with a virtual team along the way ;) 🗣️ Addressing mental health before it's a crisis: Let’s leverage AI to identify rising risk patients, ask questions at every touch point, and create a safe space for conversation. 🫅🏼 Individualized, proactive care journeys: How about education and content that aligns to the experience your patient is ACTUALLY having? It shouldn’t take consistent headaches for a pregnant patient to learn about preeclampsia. 🙋🏽 Speaking up: No one is left to suffer in silence. What do you see 2025 bringing to Women’s Health? If any of these are on your list, let’s talk. #womenshealth #pregnancy #postpartum #maternalhealth

Thank you, thank you CNN and Danielle Wiener-Bronner for highlighting SimpliFed and Andrea Ippolito. We are so thrilled our work, and the work of other Women's Health companies, is getting the attention it deserves. The market opportunity for postpartum services is huge! And the time is now for us to close the massive healthcare gap women face after delivery. As Andrea says in the article: “Over the last decade, there’s finally been this recognition … that women’s health has been dramatically underserved.” But there is still work to do. We know breastfeeding can be HARD! We cannot change that. But we, and many others, are here to change how we support patients WHEN it's hard.
