The spirit of doubt may try to overwhelm us, but we will stand strong and work tirelessly with our state legislators to ensure our protections and empower us to live with resilience.
Do not, I repeat, do not, submit a passport application, which involves a gender correction at this time. It appears the US state department has been instructed to cease processing those applications and to seize any and all documentation submitted in support of the application.

Statement from the Desk of Zahara Bassett, CEO of Life Is Work Today, I am reaching out to you not just as the CEO of Life Is Work but as a member of a community that has long fought for dignity, equality, and justice. The recent executive order from President Donald Trump has left me personally feeling a profound sense of defeat. In one moment, with the swift stroke of a pen, it feels as though the countless hours, sacrifices, and hard-won victories in advancing trans healthcare, employment protections, housing equity, and workforce development are under threat of being erased.
