Councilmember Alex Andrade and City Manager Adolfo Bailon represented Burien at Association of Washington Cities (AWC) Action Days, an annual event that serves to connect city officials with statewide officials in Olympia.

On Wednesday, Burien representatives from StART (SEA Stakeholder Advisory Round Table) joined Port of Seattle's "Olympia Day" event to educate state legislators about airport-related challenges faced by our communities. In addition to members from City of Tukwila, City of Normandy Park, City of SeaTac, and City of Des Moines, Washington, attending for Burien were StART representatives Karen Veloria and Jeff Harbaugh, Deputy Mayor Sarah Moore, and City staff Nathan Hawthorne and Adolfo Bailon.
