At Cayuga Centers, our mission has remained steadfast: to help children and families, no matter what.

About us

Since 1852, Cayuga Centers has been caring for vulnerable children, families, and individuals. While we work to keep families together, we provide them with psychological, medical, and educational support. As a nonprofit with 171 years of caring for children and families, we always put their needs first. Our organization offers a holistic and data-informed approach to social services by breaking the cycle of trauma and providing a bundle, multisystemic technique to child and family services. We tend to the specific needs of each family by creating a tailored service plan for each youth and by meeting families where they are - we do this by involving the entire community surrounding a child, offering in-home therapy, 24/7 on-call support, an entire treatment team, and in-depth coaching and training for foster parents. We believe this approach creates an environment that allows the foster youth to heal and for families to grow stronger. No matter where they come from, no matter what they’ve been through, it is our aim to restore a smile to the faces of those we serve. We implement evidence-based treatment programs that successfully address youth and family life issues, and we are a nationally accredited nonprofit human services agency headquartered in Auburn, NY. Cayuga Centers is committed to cultivating an environment that is LGBTQIA+ inclusive - for children, youth and their families, individuals, foster parents, employees, and the communities we serve. Everyone is welcome here. Cayuga Centers is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Our services and employment are provided in a nondiscriminatory manner, without regard to race, sex, color, national origin, ancestry, religious creed, disability, and age. • Fostering growth—both for children and those who support them—creates lasting change. Moments like these, where confidence is built and connections are formed, remind us why community collaboration is so essential. Thank you to FCC USA, The Children's Trust of Miami-Dade County, and Comstock Elementary for sharing in this mission. We look forward to growing together and continuing to create safe, supportive spaces for children to thrive!

👉 ❤️ New Partnership at Comstock Elementary: A Journey of Mutual Growth FCC’s first session at Comstock Elementary School was an unforgettable experience for both the kids and our coaches. 🌟 ⚽ We worked with three groups of children (ages 4-7), full of energy and excitement. Through fun activities like passing games and relay races, the kids practiced teamwork, built confidence, and discovered how to solve challenges together. For example, one game involved kids working as a team to pass the ball without dropping it, encouraging collaboration and patience. 🏃♂️ For our coaches, the day was equally enlightening. One child hesitated to join at first, watching quietly from the sidelines. By creating a safe, welcoming space and using gentle encouragement, the coaches saw the child gradually step in, smile, and start participating. Moments like these teach our coaches the importance of empathy, patience, and adapting to each child’s needs. It’s these exchanges—where kids and coaches learn from one another—that make every FCC session so impactful. Together, we’re creating a space where growth, understanding, and joy are shared by all.
