"I'm not sure about this, Amabi..." The rex standing further back folded his arms with a worried look. "You'll crush 'im like that. The boss won't be happy if we deliver damaged goods."
The lion, however, didn't pay his words any mind. Amabi's large footpaw remained firm over the canine he had just thrown down over the large mud puddle. Coal, the black-furred dog lying on his back, had his paws grasping the lion's ankle. His effort to push the lion's footpaw off his chest was visible, yet yielded no results. Coal let out a small grunt when the lion put just a little more weight over his paw, testing him.
"You worry far too much, Brach" the feline said with a smirk. "Just because we're on the job doesn't mean we can't have a bit of fun."
The rex's brow furrowed with worry. Even more so when the 8-feet tall lion clearly pushed down, stepping on the canine so hard that the much smaller dog started squirming and making soft wheezing sounds. Their canine prisoner couldn't measure more than 6-feet, which gave the bulky, muscular lion a 2-feet difference between them in height alone. That plus the rest of the brute of a lion's muscular frame definitely meant he could easily weigh twice or thrice what the canine himself did.
"Besides," Amabi continued, "look at all this mud. Do you expect me to get my paws dirty just 'cause we have to take this lowly dog all the way to the city? Nah."
With a grin, the lion finally stepped forward. Coal's eyes went wide when suddenly the whole of the lion's weight was over him. Amabi kept one paw over the dog's chest, the other over his hips, and let out a soft laugh when the sheer weight made the canine gasp as all of his air was pushed out, then start wheezing for more. The way Coal struggled to even breathe with all that weight squishing him down had Amabi purring in delight.
Playfully, the oversized lion shifted his weight back and forth between his paws. Each time he did, Coal squirmed, grunting and groaning. The mud beneath him gave way to the great amount of weight over the canine, making the dog sink into it little by little. The lion found that funny too, so he made a point to put more weight on his chest to make sure the dog's fur took in all the mud his precious footpaws were not going to touch.
"Tsc," Brach said from the back with a scoff. "What have you been eating? It looks like you're really giving the guy a hard time." The lion grinned back at his companion. He went as far as pretending to do a little jump over the canine, which had the much smaller black-furred dog gasping again and making more wheezing sounds, struggling for air. That did make the rex let out a small laugh as well.
Coal, meanwhile, was desperately pushing at the large footpaw's sole where he could grip it, then against those large clawed toes, anything to take that weight off of him so he could breathe again. Each time he tried to suck in any air, his compressed lungs barely got any. The weight of the much larger lion felt crushing. The canine swore he could hear his bones creaking each time the lion playfully shifted his weight back and forth.
"What's wrong, doggie? You want out of the mud? Doooo you?" Amabi made a cooing tone of mockery. Coal, too desperate, still nodded though. The feline's grin grew wide again.
Slowly and without even retracting his weight from it, Amabi slid his footpaw that had been over the canine's chest up and up until he was stepping right against Coal's snout. It forced it to turn sideways and, in turn, pressed the other side of his head hard against the mud below. The weight didn't feel any less overbearing and the canine's grunts and wheezes increased.
"Hnnnngh!" The dog complained from below. Amabi purred out loud in delight as he watched, putting more weight there then splaying his clawed toes playfully over the crushed canine just for fun.
"That's where you belong, though. In the mud. Ahh, it sure feels nice to put the lower species down where they should be."
The dog felt close to passing out from the lack of proper breathing. Or perhaps from the sheer crushing sensation from the weight above him. Maybe the lion sensed that, or maybe he was just done having his fun, but much to the canine's relief, Amabi stepped forward, going past him and the mud puddle to stand on the other side finally relieving Coal of his weight.
Panting, all the dog did was lay there. He felt half-buried into the mud puddle with it clinging to the fur of his back that had sunk into it. His whole body felt sore despite the crushing weight being gone. At least he could finally breathe.
"You should try it too. It's fun and look, not a hint of mud in my footpaws," the lion said from behind him. The dog got to see Brach approaching… and his ears fell down. The lion was a tall brute, but the rex… he was just a wall of muscle, as tall as his companion or perhaps even taller and definitely heavier.
“You know what, maybe I will.”
