Just a heads up.

I thought it would be good to start up this, its been on my mind for a while and it might be good to keep up to date with TA a bit easier with those who use Twitter.

What will this Twitter do?

Basically give an easier method to communicate with myself ( If you use Twitter, email would be a better alternative ) and give artists opportunity to signal boost with Retweets. It also gives anyone interested in seeing the activity with this account more closely.

What will be on this Twitter?

Retweets of signal boosting, new Trusted Artists tweets, information of what's happening and direct contact with myself.

How do I get a signal boost on Twitter?

Simple, @ the account and put the hashtag #TASignalBoost and I'll simply RT it!

But I don't use Twitter, how is this any use to me?

Well, quite often even if you don't use Twitter going to the account may give you information of what's happening. You may have sent an email and wonder why its taking a while to respond or curious to what new artists have been approved. When you're considering an artist that has the  trustedartists badge upon the front, do check that they're in our watch list. I've had a few situations where I've had people attempt to remove people who aren't in the list. I'm unable to do much apart from a black mark against their name, can't remove em when they're not there to be removed. So just a friendly reminder about that.

Recently the thought has had occurred to me that I could be doing more to help artists, I'm up for suggestions since I'm always happy to help those who need it. c:

An idea that has come across my mind would be...

~ Artist Signal Boosting ~

- Quite often, new artists have trouble getting their name out there, or artists are in dire need for emergency commissions. This service would let these artists request a signal boost to help them achieve their goals. Whether its trying to get some commissions rolling or they've got a new commission pricing. The only thing that would not be accepted would be YCH and Raffles. ( I'd rather not spam Journals with it, since the requests would be no doubt a lot. haha )




Some more suggestions would be great and if theres enough people to get behind it, I'll start working out the ideas to turn into a practical and operational service.

For the past few weeks, I've been moving and the likes, driving up and down from my mothers place to my new place ( Which is about 200km both there and back ) so I haven't had the chance to attend to this much but I will be able to do so now. I thought I would have the time to at least attend but it didn't seem like it. :l

I haven't had the chance to empty out the results of the forms ( I'm only limited to 10 Results until it refuses to take anymore unless I pay for additional results. ) so I do apologize for being unable to do so! I've just emptied it out and you can resume to send in forms. :)

By the looks of things, recommendations have increased quite dramatically since the new system has taken place! I'm rather impressed and happy that is the case! Can't thank you all enough for accepting the system so well!

On this note, as you've probably noticed I will be taking a short break from my TA duties to enjoy a rest for my Birthday and once that's all done I'll return back to work!

Recommendations using notes

As of today, any recommendations using notes will be redirected to the forms. While I very glad to accept recommendations if any recommendations are sent through the note system and aren't being followed through by the redirect then I won't be able to take your recommendation in consideration.

Misc

Within the last hour, I've watched every single trusted artist. Why? Because there's nothing more I love than getting a piece of art and having a smooth transaction along with it. So I felt like watching every single one of you and enjoy all of your art in my own time as well.

On the topic of my personal FA, I'm only going to ask this very very rarely but within the next week or so I'm looking for an artist that is possibly open for a piece for my 10k Page View Kirban. I generally don't get much time to look around for an artist that is open but if someone is open for business then I'll be greatly appreciative. If not, then no worries!

After much delay ( On my part mostly. ) I've finally put forth an easy to fill form regarding ratings, descriptions and other such information!

Artist's and Commissioners alike, share your opinion on these new forms!

G'day all! Broadcasting from the middle of no where of Australia to bring some news, suggestions and the likes.

First of all, a newly founded group as arisen from no where  trustedcommissioners much like this group, but focused on the commissioners. Rather a good idea to have personally, since it would be rather frustrating to have a uncooperative commissioner or one that simply takes your money and leaves.



Over the course of a week, I've developed a possible new system that may benefit artists and commissioners alike. I would like to move away from notes ( Purely because I'm not a fan of the Note system. ) and go towards more online forms that people can easily fill out and send, then they will be acquired into the trusted artists email and myself and future mods can easily access them without going on to FA and the likes. The reason I wish to step away from notes is because in the possible downtime of FA, we can still operate without relying on FA to be operational.

This being said, all notes prior to the new system becoming operational will still be taken by the old system until the new system is in working condition.

Let me give a simple example of what I might have planned.


Commissioners recommends artist. --> During the recommendation process, commissioner has the option to rate and give descriptions of the best and worst aspect of artist and how they think they can improve as a business. --> Artist gets accepted into the trusted list. --> The artist in question is then placed into a database which by request the artist is able to see information about their services and what commissioners have said and rated. ( Information will remain anonymous. )

But, what if a commissioner sends a removal of an artist?

Commissioner sends a artist removal --> The removal is then reviewed. --> If the request of removal is denied, then no course of action is taken. If accepted, then artist will be removed accordingly.


But, what if I do not wish to be placed into a database or I wish to have my database of reviews, ratings and other misc information to be deleted?

This can be resolved with a simple note or email, regarding you do not to wish to have a part of it or you you wish to have your section deleted.

Can anyone see information about my ratings, reviews and the like?

No. Only the admins/mods of this group and you are able to view it. However in the future when the system is brought into effect artists reviews and such may be publicly displayed with anonymous reviews and such that commissioners may read into before purchasing art.

I was removed from the Trusted Artist list, what are the chances of getting back on the trusted list?

You may indeed be accepted back into the trusted list, however the amount of recommendations will be doubled ( From around 3 to about 6 / 7 ) and the minimum amount of time that the removal was processed must be 6 months or more. However if you are removed the second time around, there will be no third chances.

Is there other new things that you may bring out in the new future?

Well, I am planning to have a spotlight to those who are in the trusted list or friends of the trusted artist who are open to commissions, desperately need commissions, open for Auctions, new to FA etc.

Just making a journal to say I'm signing off as a moderator for TrustedArtists. The job became a bit heavier than I expected, and even though I am a big fan of TA I have to remanage the stress I'm under. So, for now, I'm stepping down as a moderator. will be in charge of finding my replacement.

This is not necessarily a sad thing! TA will survive without me, and I am on my way to a more positive place in my life. When one door closes, three more open!

The goals of TrustedArtists is as follows:

"TrustedArtists is a group and seal that is given to users (who either earned it by good feedback or has been recommended to this group) to show that they are a trusted source for commissions or services.

This is to hopefully help users find trusted people when buying art, so they can find a trusted provider without the fear of being ripped off."

It's great your friends produce great artwork. It's wonderful you want to support them! However, we need recommendations from people who have actually bought art from artists. The quality of your friend's art, or how approachable they are as a person, has NOTHING to do with their work ethic and reliability in a business situation.

So please, PLEASE, try only to submit reviews if you have actually done business with an artist. Otherwise, they have almost zero credibility.
