The downscale of my Hope AU and the original idea.

Hey everyone I have something I want to talk about today. Even if you don't find this important I hope you still read anyway.
To those who have seen my latest poll on DA would know that I been thinking about retooling my Hope AU completely. Most of you voted that I make it lighthearted with almost no story.
Now to those who are still interested in my Spyro AU is wondering why I'm downscaling on this AU despite having a story I wanted to tell at first.
I will explain every reason why I'm feeling this way after I tell the basic idea behind the story first the intended version.
The Basic Idea for the story: Crystals are going missing. Healing crystals, and mana crystals are becoming more and more rare. Dragons had to learn how how to heal slowly now. Hope tries to help her father find out what's causing the crystals to disappear although Spyro told her it's too dangerous.
Spyro's fears are valid mind you. He doesn't want his daughter to get hurt.
Cynder is still dealing with half of warfang not trusting her which left to be a stay at home mom. Meanwhile a dragon named Terror wants to fuse with her (Plot Twist: Terror is the living embodiment of Corrupted Cynder.)
Cynder does fight and defeats Terror making her disappear forever.
Then it would turn out that Red was behind making the Crystals disappear as he was trying to use all of them to bring Malefor back to life. However Malefor would need a host body and Red tosses Hope down that well.
At the very last moment Spyro saves his daughter's life. Red then flew into the well itself just to bring back Malefor by any means.
Spyro fights Malefor (who is now in Red's body). Spyro finally destroys Malefor once and for all.
That's pretty much it.
Now here are the multiple reasons why I'm abandoning this story idea and why I'm going with a simple lighthearted AU with some emotional flashbacks here and there.
1. I wasn't sure how I was gonna do this Spyro fan story justice.
2. I wasn't sure if people would take a deep Spyro story seriously from the way my art style looks. I'm still proud the few emotional Spyro drawings I have made.
3. I have so many ideas and this big story could have sadly gotten in the way. My feelings to make my Shin Dragon's Destiny comic is that strong. Not to mention I have a clear idea on where I want my new Godzilla Kaiju World AU to go.
4. The sheer fact we still don't have Spyro 4, and that I basically had lost hope of it ever happening.
5. I don't want Spyro and Cynder to suffer they already gone though far too much. So now here Spyro and Cynder are more mentally healed.
6. I feel it's better for Cynder to have a comedic story for once instead of having dark problems like with other AUs. (You guys will learn the details of the new silly story soon. o3o)
7. The old story idea is just about a young dragon having to deal with some deep stuff. An idea that already going to be explored in Shin Dragon's Destiny.
I know I kinda canceled this AU then tried to put elements of it in Dragon's Destiny, but it never worked out. Then I wanted to have Dragon's Destiny to stand on it's own. I had asked AlolaDelphox about it. To keep the Spyro elements in there despite the connection becoming weaker over time or have Dragon's Destiny be it's own thing. He told to make it's own thing and that's how the new canon for that story came to be.
Don't get me wrong I still love the Spyro Franchise very much. It just felt reliving to make that main change. I still wanted to have Spyro AU at least.
(Before you ask. No I'm not bringing back the pages of the old version of Dragon's Destiny on DA. I'm not proud of that old mess of a comic anymore which is why I want to remake it.)
So with Dragon's Destiny being it's own thing now instead of an AU is what led me to trying to bring life to the Hope AU project. I thought about starting it along side my main dragon idea, but just didn't felt the story for my Spyro AU anymore.
So yea that's what led to the poll. I will still make some Mini-Comics for the new version of my Hope AU. Just don't expect something big. Since Shin Dragon's Destiny is the long term comic project.
So when I start making stuff for the new lighthearted version of the Hope AU let's have some fun.

For me I have a Ninjago/Spyro crossover story going on atm, more focused with Ninjago but still want to keep elements from Spyro (Legend of Spyro as that’s my most favorite). But one thing I took off right now is Malefor coming back to life, he’s dead in my AU as I got sick and tired of ppl bringing him back AFTER DotD. Nope, he’s out of the picture for good. Plus doing the chapters with the Dragon Realms I added in a new enemy with the Storm Gryphons. Pretty happy with how it’s going.
But yeah I agreed with you on that a new Spyro game won’t be coming soon. So been more focused on Ninjago as of late (even though I got burnout with it from the mess back in July from Peacocks screw up)
