I hate how normalized art theft is on that site nowadays. Say what you want about AI, but I have more respect for AI users than people who take other peoples' work without credit or permission.

I mean...that's also literally what A.I. "art" programs do as well. They train themselves on every image they can find on the web without consent.

It's really not that much different from looking at a drawing to use as a refence. And you typically get called out if you try to take credit for AI work anyway and you get in trouble if you don't label something as an AI image. The AI tag just inherently implies "Hey, I didn't draw this, an AI program did." so the "artist" is at least not taking credit. This picture I'm linking below was straight up traced, but the poster is claiming they drew it themselves. So yeah, there is absolutely a difference here.

And no, I don't support the monetization of AI "art", I'm just not anti-AI, unless it's being monetized and/or being passed off as original work. It's honestly a neat option for those who can't draw or afford commissions, so long as it's used responsibly. But this journal isn't about AI, so I'll leave it there.

Ive had this happen before though myself. I know its hard but try not to let it bother you if you can. Its most likely just some kid who doesn't know any better.

How does one report art theft on that site when it's not yours?

There's a report option to select for it during the report prompts

I just get this, unless I lie and say the art is mine. It just leads to links talking about art theft, and nothing to file an actual report. Bastard’s been reported. It seriously makes me wonder how many more of those submissions are stolen works. If there were an option to flag the whole account, I sure as blazes would do it.
