Renascence
Et nunc, tibi concedimus, renascentiam
"Renascence" is a Construct 3 project which I started working on back in 2022 as a 15 year old. It is a 2.5D hack-n-slash action RPG with an MS-DOS-esque aesthetic. I have publicly released this build of the project to show what I was up to for that time. For now, I will move onto other projects (I was much less experienced back then and I don't want to maintain this anymore), but this still stands as a demonstration for what can be done with the Construct 3 engine, and an illustration of a game idea that I had held onto for a long time.
This game follows its teenage protagonist, Phil Andersen, after he is chosen by a mysterious eldritch council to be sent to the realm of Abaddon, unbeknownst to him, as a catalyst meant to slowly kill a malevolent force. While there, he runs into an ancient elder of Limbo, who assigns him tasks as part of a deal to send him back to the Overworld.
Be warned that this game has a bit of a mind of its own sometimes. And I'm not just talking about glitches, either.
* If you face performance issues, try running the executable version of the game instead.
Some moments of this game feature intensely flashing colors and loud sounds which may result in discomfort for those with epilepsy. Do not play this game if you are prone.
