Import into Final Cut Pro for Mac from Image Playground
In Final Cut Pro, you can use Image Playground and Apple Intelligence* to quickly create stylized images based on a description, suggested concepts, or people from your Photos library.
Note: Image Playground requires macOS 15.2 or later on Mac models with M1 or later.
In Final Cut Pro, select the event you want to import the image to.
Do one of the following:
Choose File > Import > Image Playground (or press Option-Shift-P).
Click the Import Media button on the left side of the toolbar, then choose Image Playground.
In the Image Playground window, do any of the following:
Create an image from a concept: Click a concept—a theme, costume, accessory, or place.
Create an image from a description: Click the “Describe an image” field, enter a description, then press Return.
Create an image of a person: Click the Person button, then choose a person from your photo library.
Create an image based on a photo, such as an image of a pet, nature, or food: Click the Photos button in the lower-right corner, then choose Choose Photo or Take Photo.
Change the image style: Click the Style button, then choose a style, such as Animation or Illustration.
To see variations of an image, click the left and right arrows on either side of the image.
When you’re happy with your image, click Done.
The generated image is imported into the browser as a 1024 x 1024 HEIC file, which you can use in your projects like any other still image.
