Zoom, move, rotate, or tilt a map in Maps on Mac
In the Maps app on your Mac, do any of the following:
Zoom in and out: Click the zoom buttons (
and
) in the lower-right corner of the map.
To show the map’s scale as you zoom, choose View > Show Scale. The scale appears in the top-left corner.
Move up or down, left or right: Press and hold the mouse or trackpad, then drag the map. On a trackpad, you can also drag using two fingers.
Rotate a map: Press and hold the pointer on the compass while you drag left and right, or up and down.
Tilt a map: Click and hold the 3D button
, then drag up or down.
Return to the north-facing orientation: Click the outside of the compass, or press Command-Up Arrow.
You can also use shortcuts or gestures to zoom.
