The Lonely march home is a solo journaling RPG, based on the Wretched & Alone game engine, played with a deck of cards, a tumbling block tower, and a pen & paper.

You are the last surviving  member of a group of would-be heroes. After the death of your companions, you are left to wander home alone. Shame and survivors guilt are your constant companions as you seek to do what your friends could not. Can you survive the road and make the lonely march home?

<-------------------->

The Lonely March Home is a solo tabletop roleplaying game. Like most tabletop roleplaying games, you take on the identity of a fictional character of your creation.

You will use tools of chance (playing cards, dice, coins) to interact with the world, generating circumstances and reacting as your character would. Then, write down what happens in a character journal.

The Lonely March Home has no levels, classes, abilities, or powers. This is a solo journaling game, where the point is for you to tell a story about a haggard character in dire circumstances. The tools of play help guarantee that no two sessions are alike.

Simply put, the rules of play generate circumstances, and you use your imagination (and a pen) to fill in the rest.

How and what you choose to write is one of your most powerful tools for revealing your character. This is about what is important to your character and what isn’t, what is easy to talk about, and what is painful and elusive.

Really would recommend, if you like creating stories, putting yourself into a character, or just want to work on your writing. It guides you through a story but lets you freely choose how all of it goes. Whether good, bad, or subpar it's up to you to decide. Plus since it doesn't require much it's easy to take on travel.

If you like this genre I think you'll really like it, and if you're not sure, try it, I think like me you'll be surprised by how fun it can be
