As much as I would like to keep working on this project, I decided it was too out of control on my end.
I found that the best option was to not only completely recreate the game, but to take it into another direction entirely. I will be working on the roguelike version of this concept. Not only will this become (what I believe will be) a much higher quality and fuller game, I believe it will be easier to use what I create in the roguelike project in a better recreation of the linear MetroidVania this game was meant to be.
