Dead people getting turned into undead enemies, brilliant... and scary.

!!kA-cHiNG!!!

Yeah that's the smartest path. I should do that too, but I think I've finished every prototype I've made so far, though I give less effort the more I feel it's not so worth it.

I like to make art, maybe that's why I go after every prototype, and the project may take new directions the more I mess with it.

Woah, dope background! o.O

That's the reason I (in the beginning) always finished my current project, before starting a new one. Even if it's sloppy-ly finished, you gain a good chunk of XP when you complete the process from start to finish.

Yeah, definitely feel that the most during gamejams and when drawing. It kind of makes itself and you don't really have full control. A fascinating part of making art.

Switching between coding, art, sound also helps against monotony. Ironically the best thing for me against fatigue is going outside for a walk/run. One downside of multiple projects is getting back on track with where you are and how things work.

I haven't gotten to that part yet.

I used to always finish my current project before I start a new one in order to get it done.

But now I really like to work on multiple projects, switching when I feel like it. I find after long breaks you see your game with a fresh set of eyes and flaws become more obvious. Also there is less fatigue and boredom, especially when two projects are very different from another. (Currently working on a futuristic mech game and a primitive forest survival game)

Short gamejams also help taking a break from a big main project, but I'd like to know if others also have more than one larger project in the works, and how they feel about that.

Kind of interested, but have too many own projects currently.

Trotzdem viel Glück, und Grüße aus Ludwigshafen.

I like the technique with all those very differently coloured pixels next to each other.

Don't like the ?headshot? content. The black and red lines could use the same noise tomake the image more consistent. But I think the image would be best with just the background, as an abstract piece.

It makes me happy that you cherish it.

Used it twice but couldn't get into it. Third times a charm hopefully.

Do you like mechs?

I'm currently working on Navpoint Beta, a sequel to Navpoint Alpha. I also made some more arcade-y mech games: Info Infect and Plasma Guardian.

He he, I used that exact hot air balloon cc0 sprite on a project too!

( Ice Cream Air Balloon )

Is Executive Director still free?

;)

I didn't recognize the head at first in the first image, I feel it is too distict from the body, and doesnt fit together well.

2nd image is very cool OoO

I really like your realistic style.

Take a longer break.

And come back to art when you feel like enjoying it again. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

Probably too late, but I don't understand this thread when there is an extra sub-forum for promotion.

Tasteful minimal graphics, nice sounds and fun gameplay (most important in a game). Exploding red blocks are cool. My favorite entry so far.

Yeah it's wild sometimes, Trying to understand is a big part of the game.

Woah cool tool!

But not sure if I'll just keep redrawing everything when I want to move an object around. It's an integral part of the Flickgame experience!!1!!!!

Thank you! Sadly no audio possible with the Flickgame "game-engine".

Happy you like it :)

Ima just continue making games, "big" and small. I'd like to switch to Godot, but I'm so used Gamemaker(Studio 1) which does everything I need. I'd rather spend my time making games than learning a new engine. I would like to incorporate more of my hand-drawn art more instead of pixelart. Genre-wise I'm all over the place, and sometimes think it would be better to concentrate on one, but nah.

I just release my games for free on the Playstore. If I ever see a game of mine getting 100 000 downloads then I might reconsider.

Had to update my games to a newer API recently, and yes it is way more cumbersome than it was the first time I put my games up there. Don't know if I'll ever do that again.

All my APKs are also available on itch of course. Never tried other stores like Amazon and Huawei, maybe should check those out.

I liked the projectile, but the gun turned into a plasma gun.

The first plasma ball didn't look impactful enough, so I changed it.

Don't know if it is better now, may have overdone it. It looks interesting though, and in-game it does have triangles.

Navpoint Beta

DOWNLOAD (version 0.66) with new plasma weapon and shield.

This is where you configure your mech. Your last score = money for your next mech.

Cool.

This has some similarities with Bunny Hill.

I really like the snow monster and the illuminated eyes are an excellent idea.

Maybe put some snow on the players boots.

Info Infect

Look at him go! :)
