Happy to announce that Mythic Draconis is complete and ready to release soon. Some final testing (as per usual) to make sure (as much as possible) that nothing out of the ordinary creeps up into the final version, and some final promotional material and side material being handled at the moment leading up to the release of the game.

It has been a long run..... a very long run. For anyone keeping tabs and wondering, naturally the project has been developed with no budget, and more so in solo development fashion. Being also the first game to come from Scionia Roms, there was also much to learn, and little time to learn it. As a result to all this, due to other work and not being able to spend time on actual development, Mythic Draconis was pushed back again and again and only worked on when little free time was found.

Persistence prevails, like our Hero Victor of Daurenguard knows full well on his journey, and the arrival of Mythic Draconis is yet at hand and in reach.

Stay tuned for the release in the coming days (in the best case scenario) if not in the following few weeks (worst case scenario)

See you in the fray.

-Jim Soufrilas of ScioniaROMs

Yes, as shown in the credits, indeed, GMS2 was used for the development of this game.

Thank you for the feedback so much and even more so for the video uploads. As I also wrote in the responces on each of the videos in more detail, it helps a lot to actually see what other people experience when playing the game, along with some suggestions on how I could make it more accessible. This is very helpful. Thank you.

A small notice for older PC's.

This is a retro platformer, it doesn't mean that its as light as the classic retro platformers though as it clearly has visuals that surpass them, with some background sprites reaching even 4k resolutions.

For older rigs, either with low memory, or with weak GPU cards, there can be frame loss experienced. It has come to attention that closing other programs, browsers, etc, or simply restarting the game fixes this.

I myself am running a 6 year old pc ready to explode, and once in a while frame loss is experienced. Upon restarting the game the issue is fixed.

Also, if you are running the game with scanlines (filter) turn it off in the options menu. This helps as well.

Clearly this is tied with lower end PC's as well as the GMS2 build as from testing, even low end PC's can most of the time handle the game flawlessly.

I assume most will not have this problem, as the minimum requirements for the game are rather low. But it needed to be noted regardless.
