Fun little game, nice job!

Great fun! A lot more features added since I first played. Really great work!!!

Had great fun playing, but the controls are impossible with a track pad. Will have to find my mouse and circle back later.  Great game!

Had a lot of fun playing this! Great work! I just wish it was longer...

My game isnt rolled into discover.games yet, if you are asking if you will receive rewards in that dashboard, that will not happen until I integrate over there

Each round you play, your XP is sent to WhalePass.  Each time you level up, you earn an Unlock.
The next time you enter Ship Select, you can unlock Ship Upgrades.  Each Ship Upgrade is a reward.

(1 edit)

If you check your Browser Developer Logs, you will see all of the communication with WhalePass. And unfortunately, a LOT of console logs I meant to delete, lol

The levelling and ship unlocks are all running on WhalePass.  Hyplay is used for authentication, WhalePass runs all levelling and unlocks.
I assure you, there are hundreds of WhalePass Tokens and Challenges that went into this game...
Thanks for the feedback, I did plan on making the game easier to start, but once you get a few upgrades, it gets much easier.

Had a lot of fun, should have read the rules tho.   A nice twist on a classic! Good luck in the Jam!

Was fun! But too short! I loved it.  It was like one of those arcade style. I could see playing this in a Bowling Alley

You saved my Jam, for Real!! <3

Victory is Mine

Thank you very much! The rebuild is on its way.  Currently building out the multiplay-relay lobbying system. Then will get into rebuilding the core mechanics.
The goal is for a multiplayer version where theres always a few games running, new players drop in and start accumulating "Vibes" for any rounds they win. The AI voting will become smarter, already working on a "smart" scoring system for each card so that the AI will pick/judge object cards based on actually fitting a subject cards context.
There are a lot of bugs in the demo, I'm just glad I got it uploaded in time. Thanks for playing!

Thank you very much! The rebuild is on its way.  Currently building out the lobbying system.  I am determined to build out a DGS solution that works in WebGL without needing a reverse proxy, and I'm nearly there. Just need time. Then I can move the state machine and dealing logic into the server component.  Get it so that theres always a couple of games running with AI, and players joining backfill the AI positions and get into the action.
I'll then fix the bugs for the demo and it'll act as a sort of "intro" into the game for a couple of rounds, before dropping you into the online multiverse of madness.... (big dreamz)

I think theres a glitch where the invincible enemy spawns before it should, but I was able to avoid this happening by staying away from directly south of spawn point.
I thought the dude with things spinning was invincible at first but you've just gotta get him stuck behind a tree and its smooth sailing :)
I came third, good enough!
Great submission for 2 weeks, would love to see what you coulda done in a month with it.

Had some troubles with sign in, it said I wasnt signed in even though I was, but fun little take on Pong & Bricks.

it was kind of hard to play but I could see the potential with a little more polish! I like that there was a lot more abilities that in other games.

great game, got hooked for a hot minute! would like to see weapons added, or like a pack man style power up where roles are reversed and you can kill the skeletons (unless there is and I just didnt figure that out yet). Great Jam submission!

I couldnt play it more than a moment because my laptop sucks and I dont have a gun or even a mouse, trackpad made this hard, but I saw the playthrough so I rated higher anyways. I just dont see how One Shot came into it, but other than that, great little especially for a short jam! Could see playing this on the Nintendo Wii

I had a blast playing this. Great use of the metroidvania controller. I loved having to chase down the ball after each shot, and creating little combos bouncing off a few enemies at a time. I feel like there should be a lot more enemies in the map, or a smaller map.
I look forward to multuplayer and it would be cool if you could teleport the ball between each other, or it brings two balls into the game.

I had a lot of fun, very original controls, took OneShot death for the theme, I'd be interested in seeing what this became with more time. Like, more power ups, bigger levels, etc. Very well executed!!! The movements felt smooth.  I'd like to hear some scifi type sounds and/or music going forward

Cards Against Humanity?  Never heard of it. This is a remake of The Judge and The Jury, a game from the 90's. I know of at least one remake, Apples to Apples.  Maybe Cards Against Humanity is another Judge and Jury remake?  I'll have to google it ;)

Thanks, I'm glad the lyrics got some laughs :)  Suno is sooo good sometimes, you just gotta use a lot of credits to get to the good stuff
I kicked off a Unity Web Services project last night and going to rebuild the game from scratch, cleanly and not with the jumbled mess of spaghetti code I threw together just to get stuff "working" last minute lol

100%... Yeah, I spent too long messing around with Hyplay stuff and really rushed the game the last few days.  The lyrics to the songs were mine lol, and I meant them lol. I started rebuilding the game from scratch last night, building it multiplayer from the ground up and the AI will just be additional players in that system, rather than the hobbled together mess that this game ended up.  I appreciate your time playing, and the honest feedback. Version2 will not be an AI fever dream :)

Great Job! Had a bunch of fun playing.  I would like to see more levels and enemies. Keep up the great work!

I wanst quite able to grasp the mechanics, how do you kill the enemies?

Extra points for the theme matching and hyplay being pretty smooth, but I struggled with the gameplay personally, maybe the game needs a mouse and not a laptop pad

Great little puzzle game, had a lot of fun. Would like to see some more obstacles/bombs/etc to spice it up but even without its a nice little brain teaser. Well done!

Interested little world you've built, had fun blasting away. Will come back and try and make the leaderboard later.

You dont start scoring big scores til you find the optimum route on each level. You have to make sure you hit restart before you get all the targets on slow levels or your score will tank. Every level is crucial

Wow, this is my favourite so far.  I'll have to settle with 2nd place for now, but I will find the optimal route, I will catch that star in level 5 or whatever... Man... Very well done

I think the redirect really hurt you because you bypass the information given on the game page.  I would include the instructions in the game instead as an initial loading page before gameplay, would be my only feedback :)

I'm glad I read the comments and gave it another shot, my first time through I only dodged and it got boring.
This was a fun little take on a classic style. I had fun playing.  Good luck!

I had a lot more fun playing this than I want to admit lol.  I would add a little clearer instructions, I wasted a bit of time trying to attack the fart ghosts thinking I'd score that way.  But great little game, I enjoye!

It seemed like maybe there was more supposed to happen with Pliko and the Rock Monster while you are playing well. I would look at adding a combo system that launches little attacks or something (maybe this is what the issues were?) Still a fun little game nonetheless, well done!

I used Suno.com for the music generation. There are like 15 versions of both the lobby song and the card game song I had generated. I thought about having it just play them all back to back, considered having a button for each genre you can pick your "vibe" but I really wasnt liking a lot of them last minute, so I chose to extend the card game song a few minutes instead. Didnt think anyone would stick around that long TBH, takes like  12 minute or so to make it through the loop lol.
I will add more music to future versions.
I might start pulling in others to help make it a more robust game, if so I'll get a real sound guy, I just wanted to work solo for the Jam and see what I could achieve.

You're absolutely correct, I didnt have time to finish the full game which is multiplayer and involves much smarter AI players.  Theres a lot more card data under the hood to be added to make the AI choices seem smart.
Also, I really made this to be a multiplayer game but wanted a single player version for the Jam.
My final game should be much better.  2 weeks was a short turn around... Thanks for the kind words!!!

Had fun playing! Would add an out of bounds to prevent getting stuck, but good difficulty level to get hooked!
