Thank you for the feedback! I’m glad you enjoyed it regardless of the resolution issues!

I really like the graphics in this game, they're simple but they have a really distinct vibe! I especially like the background, that was a really cool touch. Also the camera shifting along that long straight path? Super cool! Kind of unsettling. Am I the only one who tried to jump off the end into the abyss? Unfortunately it does get a little tedious after a while, just running back and forth on this small level. I would've liked to see more!
The whole screen isn't supposed to be visible, as long as you're able to move around the screen by dragging your mouse near the edges of the window it should be playable! Did any text pop up at all? If you right-click on the "Welcome to Portallusca" text box it will initiate a tutorial. If that didn't happen I'll note that down as a bug and see what we can do about it.
Cute game! I found the slimes very charming and I liked being able to interact with the orange one in the menu, it's a fun little touch. Overall I just like the art style. Simplistic but has a lot of character! Unfortunately the text in the menu doesn't seem to be displaying properly, there are a lot of seemingly random characters missing, and they change every time you go back to the menu. The controls are simple enough that the game is still playable without it, though!
I like this interpretation of the limitation, the controls are very intriguing! I think it'd be fun to spend a long time just puzzling through the movements and figuring out how they work, because they're so unusual your instincts are always wrong haha. However I think because the controls aren't very intuitive it would be very helpful to have easier level design at the very start, as the window for error is so small at the start it makes it hard to experiment and learn.
This is an interesting game, I like the gameplay concept! I found it difficult to juggle flipping gravity and jumping, it's hard to know when either option would be better than the other - though that does feel like something you'd get a feel for if you spent more time playing (and had faster reactions than me haha).
I enjoyed this game! The character design is really good and I like the mechanic. I feel like the text boxes could stand out more visually? With all the rest of the game looking so good, they're a bit hard to see. I didn't actually notice them the first time they popped up lol, I thought a word would appear in the dialogue box. I could see how that would be difficult though, especially during a jam.
This was a super nice little game! The custom assets are really cute, and the title/lose/win screen is pretty impressive. Hoods are hard enough to draw with full resolution lol. My major point of critique is that because I'm playing with a trackpad, the spell controls don't work for me! In trying to beat the game without them I discovered that you can just run around the enemies and still eventually win. Still enjoyed it though :]
The sound design of this was pretty good! I did notice the radio seemed to come on later than it should've though, and it would've been nice to have some background music to set the tone. I'm not a huge fan of visual novels but I must admit it was kind of fun ruining this guy's life and finding all the endings. I liked the visuals too, the composition of all the shots was really good! I will say though, that the use of limitation was kind of a streach.
I'm so glad you liked my writing!! I've written a lot before, but I've never make a finished project with any of it so it means a lot to me that you enjoyed it. To answer your questions:
- Yes! The story isn't actually finished because we didn't have the time, but the idea is that you're meant to piece together the story as you play.
- This kind of has the same answer as the last question - you'll find out if you play the finished version :)
- You're right about the decay, but there's no other ending. Even the final game will only have one ending. I mean, they're already dead and you can't change the past, huh?
I really liked this game! I actually found it really scary - probably in part by the wacky effects. They're very disorienting and it's nerve-wracking when the Imsomed look larger in your perifery than when you look at them straight-on (those are both positive things haha). I love how big the Isomed are compared to the player, it just makes them terrifying when they get close to you. My only critique is that it's hard to know when you're going to run out of gasoline, and the Isomed move really fast in the dark, so when you run out of gasoline, even if you have more in your hand you're pretty much screwed. I think the best way to fix this would be to add some indicator that the gas is running low, such as the light getting dimmer.
This was a lovely little game! I found it very fun to figure out the best ways to use the stats and how to hire effectively as the game went on. The sound design was pretty well done too - the music was pleasant and the little chimes when you do well were very rewarding lol. The artstyle is also incredible!! The title screen is amazing and I love how much character everyone has, especially the mayflies. If you ever want to update the game to give it a bit more content I would love for there to be different stages and challenges!
I really enjoyed this game! The art style was really cool and the animations were absolutely incredible! The death animations were gorgeous (and I know how hard those are to make lol), especially they players. It's such a dramatic moment when the background fades to black and they fall to their knees, I love it! The game was also really fun! The challenge was very fun and I found myself playing the game over and over again to try and beat it. I did find two glitches, though. If you stand against the red barrier in the first level as far up as you can, one of the enemies shoots at you and the bullets appear to hit, but you take no damage. Also, when I entered full screen mode I was unable to move, and only sometimes are was I able to once I left it afterwards (I'm playing on a windows with a small screen size, in case that helps you fix it).
I think this game is pretty clever! I like the premise and it felt like the bodies that were further away lasted longer, which I think was a nice touch that made the game more playable. Speaking of playability, though, the mouse sensitivity was extremely high and I found it incredibly disorienting and difficult to work with. I also felt like only being able to play the game once wasn't a particularly good use of the limitation, because it made it so you could never get better at the game, and the score you got while you were still figuring the game out was just the score you got. Besides, the limitation is also already used well in the gameplay itself, so I don't think only being able to play the game once adds anything to the experience. I do like how the game looks, though. The dramatic lighting is very noir, and I'm a sucker for games with funky 3D models.
The visuals were very nice, I liked the character animations and my teammate liked the models. The camera angles were very cool and creative, but they did make the game harder to play. Especially in that section with the storage container next to the concrete wall, it felt like you were supposed to go towards it because of the angle, even though you had to go the opposite direction. We didn't get much further in the game because once you pick up the wrench the player gets stuck and you can't move. The idea for the use of limitation sounded really cool, but because we could only get so far we didn't actually see it being used in the game. The player was also really hard to control due to both the speed and camera angles.
This game was delightful, me and my teammate played it four times! My only criticism was that there wasn't any use of the limitation gameplay-wise and that you had to refresh the page to replay the game. Other than that it was wonderful. I adore the art style, it feels very noir while also being unique - and also just looked good. I also always appreciate the use of funky fonts.
