Not sure why you are concerned this sounds too modern, this feels like it was ripped straight out of the game. The choir sound specifically is spot on. My only nitpick is there are some parts of the track that sound maybe to triumphant for the ambient mood of the original track (0:41), but that just means it plays on the way out of the area instead of the way in.

The sound design certainly matches the game, full marks there. I'm not a fan of the mix, particularly the crashing metal sounds starting around 1:20 definitely feel overused and overexposed to me. The composition is pretty good, I can definitely see this in metroid prime somewhere

This track baffles and delights me, it's so unique! The first minute of the track is perfect no notes I love it. Once the drums come in the sound gets a bit muddy, I think the kick drum is a little overpowered in the mix. I think the sound choices are a little too crunchy for metroid prime, but I could totally see this in one of the gameboy metroid games

I think you matched the N64 and ice level vibe pretty well, and the bass/bell combo definitely works. The mixing could be a little cleaner and the composition could be a little more fleshed out, but overall a solid track

This is very, very good. I love that synth at the beginning, and the first 30 seconds especially fit in well with the theme. Once it gets into the main section I think it loses some of the ice level theming, and moves to feel more appropriate for a cinematic action scene than an exploration environment. The choir part definitely fits in the metroid sound, and the melody is fantastic, and the composition is really neat!

This track definitely would fit in metroid! I really like that low sweeping synth, it really ties the track together and gives it that 'sci-fi' flavour. It works very well as a tense, ambient track. I feel like the vibe is a little more generic than ice level, or even water level as you mentioned in the description - I could easily imagine this track fitting in a lot of sci-fi looking settings. Overall a solid track

I really like the key change at the climax, and how it wanders down into being a little more playful afterwards! In my opinion I have some difficulty matching it to the metroid track and section of the game it's from, when listening to it I'm imagining more of a forest or snow forest vibe from it - maybe closer to a zelda track than a metroid track? Either way I like the way it moves through different feelings, and the different dynamic ranges work for me

check the troubleshooting section, I guess it's a known bug and you might need to disable ad blocker

Having a shared inventory is an interesting idea, and the art and movement were pretty simple but worked well

Rough around the edges but a good concept and the art is clean and readable

The presentation is pretty good, the music and the transitions work really well

It could use some work on the game design front. Selecting the different thing might work better if you're looking for something specifically different instead of each puzzle changing what the difference is. Also, the difficulty is all over the place. Sometimes the difference was incredibly obvious, and sometimes the size/colour/rotation of the shape was so subtle I couldn't do anything except click randomly

overall, a good attempt though

Brilliant idea and execution, I loved sailing around and when I was trying to harpoon things and shoot enemies it was really hectic!

Oh that's weird, what browser are you using?

An interesting concept, definitely could be fleshed out more and some tutorial text even in the description under the game would help, but it doesn't play too bad and it seems like the lassoed snake works as intended. Don't sell yourself short, this is very good for your first jam!

I think this concept is executed really well, you do a good job making puzzles for the unique "construction" you can do with the bots

This is really good! That last level is very tricky, and the levels were larger than I expected across the board. Pushing instead of pulling with the connected rope idea is a pretty interesting concept, and overall it plays really well

It was difficult to be precise with the platforming due to how much momentum the dancers had, but overall a brilliant concept and the music really makes it feel chaotic and fun

It's definitely a game with "juice", although I found myself trying to avoid every power up besides the gun due to all the physics weapons being too imprecise to control. Good work!

Those last two puzzles really showed off the concept well, a brain teaser game for sure! Lots of fun to play

A pretty obvious idea given the theme, but really well executed and with a lot of neat ideas. It was definitely engaging just wandering around, figuring out what to do

I can't believe how much I hate the music, it's perfect. Really gives off that "off-the-wall children's game" aesthetic. Hard mode feels pretty much impossible, trying to match the notes on both bears, but the fact that there are any difficulty settings at all is amazing. Good work all around

(1 edit)

Fairly straightforward idea, but well executed and oddly addicting

I had a hard time figuring out the shop menu, it wasn't clear that I had to deselect the buy/sell options to move carts. Despite that it's a really fun little game, great concept and the execution was really good, if a little clunky

This would have been a great game for a 48h jam. You mad people made this in 24? The presentation is top notch between the cute graphics and music

I absolutely love that the "strength" of your web is colour-coded to what level of fly they can defeat! Just enough chaos to make it a really engaging reaction-strategy experience

Interesting idea with lots of potential options for solving the puzzles! Definitely gives that "I solved it my way" feel

Great concept! The time limit and sheer amount of info coming at you made it a real challenge! In the end, one or two of the clues gave me enough information to guess the correct answer for each case, so I never needed the "connecting" mechanic. An interesting take on mystery mechanics!
