Thanks! I left the instakill on infinite by accident :D Sorry about the mouse issues. I'll add it to the fix list.

Haha thanks! Ever since they took him off the show he was never the same. Sorry he took it out on you :D

Yea ran out of time to address all the issues and discovered new ones once I uploaded the final build. Fixes are coming once I'm clear to upload a new version. Thanks for the feedback and good luck to you too!

I appreciate the feedback! I am also pleased with the AI. It's actually very simple behind the scenes - chase player - strafe and shoot. So I was surprised that it turned out to be so fun with so little effort. The matchmaking wasn't all that easy as I would have thunk though. Had to come up with a whole new algorithm to make sure everybody plays against everybody once. Round-robin they call it. Sure learned a few things thanks to this jam!

Thank you for the feedback! I was mulling this idea in my head for a long time and even though I wasn't able to meet my expectations during the jam, the concept is solid. A good test run. I'm considering giving it a full game release treatment.

Sweet, well executed and rage-inducing. Didn't get far. I don't wanna talk about it.

Same bug as Zero. Unplayable.

Very nice and polished game. Simple but effective. Good job!

Like these kind of games. No idea what most of the upgrades did, would be nice to let the player know what he picked up. Art needs work. Leaderboards didn't show for me when I died, had to restart.

Visuals are awesome. Artstyle is eyecatching. Smooth gameplay. Loved it!

Sweet and simple. Reminds me of games I played when I was a kid. Wasted so much time on flash games.

Clean experience. Fun experience. Everything works nice. Animations and ragdolls are sweet. Good job! One of my favourites!

Bit confusing with the cards. Wasn't sure when the attack cards work. Sometimes they slay, sometimes they miss, sometimes they get destroyed, I dunno. Healing ability is unclear. I love TD games, so I respect the effort. Art needs work. The whole thing needs a re-do.

I agree. There is a lot to improve. Also, I left the player deadshot ability infinite by accident lol my final hours before submitting were frantic

Cute, simple and to the point. Hard. Or I'm bad. I go with hard. I think, why not move the dart with the mouse?

Oh? I haven't noticed the slider, sorry. I'm on laptop yeah. Using an external mouse though. I'll give it another try in a bit

This is just a lovely wee game. Clean, short experience. One of my favourites so far. Good job. But ultimately it comes down to remembering the where to shoot and everyone will end up having the same highscore eventually. I'd randomize the target positions and make it endless.

Top to bottom well executed. Very polished. Feels like a full fledged game off of steam. Majority of my deaths were caused by getting stuck in corners or by missing the turn. I'd rethink the movement and/or map design.

But clearly one of the best entries I came along thus far. Love it!

Love the artstyle! Music is sweet. I like the orbit mechanic and the simplicity of it all. Missing the user account scores though.

I like the sleek style and the gameplay. Music is dope. But the game gets stuck when you crash and the leaderboard isn't working for me. Would invest some time into this once it's fixed.

Good game. Quest system, levelling system, progression. Nice features. You get swarmed a lot and all you can do is spam the parry. It's a bit clunky and the map is barren. I did have fun. I did reach the top of the leaderboard. If this game was proper developed and polished, I'd probably buy.

Nice idea. Had fun, but score didn't show up on the leaderboards.

(1 edit)

Simple, but addictive. Extremely sensitive controls, might wanna dial it down a bit. Who the hell are the top 2 ranks going on for 208 hours? :D

EDIT: There is a mouse sensitivity slider i haven't noticed when you press ESC. And also it's 208 seconds not hours. Still impressive though lol

What a delightful mess. Very bright, colourful. The PS1 look is cool, takes me back. Gameplay is a bit weird and you get thrown around a lot as the enemies are fast and aggressive. Playing on keyboard is a bit clunky, I would suggest letting player keybind. The presentation is lovely. Like the menus especially. The charge mechanic is a good idea. Multiplier too. Sound is great!

At the end of the game there is no leaderboard to see or a way to go back to main menu. Had to restart the game to see the scores.

But all around I enjoyed it.

I was not able to dodge any enemy attacks, even when I think I timed it perfectly and died every time the enemy fired. I am not sure how to play the game. Spacebar is supposed to shoot, but nothing happens when I press it. No idea what rhythm am I supposed to play into either. Dunno what the bar on the right does. Not sure if the game is working as intended at all. Shame, I like a good rhythm game.

Maybe try to explain better how to play the game. Screenshots with the gameloop explained step by step should do, but a gif or a video would be even better. Music is alright. Art style is ok. It just didn't seem to work?

thanks bud

thanks! gameplay is janky, though. got carried away with things i haven't done in a long time. im a bit rusty

is twitch integration allowed? for possible chat interaction

so you want us to upload the whole thing, including the resource files like graphics, audio etc?

Hi!

I created this little game in roughly 48 hours for an Azure Lux Game Jam (with some polish and bug fixes after judges done their thing) and I'm quite happy how it turned out, so I thought I might as well share it with y'all! It is a casual arcade top-down action puzzler? Not sure how to classify tbh, why don't you give it a play and you tell me? Thanks and enjoy!

Thank you for playing! Yea i have a new version ready using keyboard for movement and it is so much better. The trail you leave behind also looks so much smoother. I'm waiting for judges to do their thing and I'll upload the improved version :]

Thank you! Appreciated :]

Thanks! :D I am glad you gave it a play GG thumbsUp

Thanks! Yea i ran out of time to tweak the controls, sadly. Furthermore, i noticed a bug where you're not able to go to settings to at least change the mouse sensitivity.. should work in the downloadable version though. Also wanted to add keyboard controls options, but yea, finishing the game was kinda hectic after not sleeping the night before :

this the weirdo hotspot?? asking for a friend

whuuut?? :D love this theme! there's so much you can do around chaos. any sort of fight, waking up late for school, busy kitchen, forest on fire, loose bear in the office, whatever. any situation can turn chaotic. or good vs evil approach, order vs chaos. or since you brought up hell, it would be a great place to work with the theme too. there's plenty to work with

How's the update going mate?
