Hi, something's come up recently so I won't be able to participate in this jam. Sorry :(

thanks for reaching out! Email me through my email on the gamedevfinder.net link I posted

eh, I like other programming languages more. The reason I love godot so much is the node system aligns more closely with programming theory than unity's object system

Godot because it feels like an engine made for programmers instead of an engine made for artists

I'll just use email. I assume you know how to use github for version control, right?

cool. Are you willing to use email instead of discord?

Hi, I’m Flarf. I’m a Godot developer and a music composer. Here’s where I post most of my work: https://soundcloud.com/da-flarf

I've worked on a jam on itch recently

If you would like to collaborate, I would prefer to use email rather than discord.

Here's my information: Da Flarf | Game Dev Finder

edit: We should look for a pixel artist to join

Hi, I'm Flarf, and I guess I'll post the first topic here. I'm looking to join a team either as a composer, or as a godot developer, or both. I have participated in game jams in the past, so don't worry about me being dead weight.

I'm very versatile when it comes to genres. I create chiptune for the SNES (actual chiptune not that soundfont crap), classical, rock, and pretty much anything without lyrics. Here's some of my work: https://soundcloud.com/da-flarf

As previously mentioned, I am also a godot developer. I have 3 degrees in programming, and I recently completed a game, along with the soundtrack, in a week. Under Gunstruction by Da Flarf I specialize in creating complex player mechanics and movement tech.

If you'd like to collaborate, reach out. HOWEVER, I will NOT use discord for collaboration. I am fine with email or slack. Da Flarf | Game Dev Finder

Mys skill is probably roughly equal in godot programming and music. Sorry, I don't use discord for game dev. I'll use email or slack. I have done a game jam here before so I have some experience.

I'd like to collaborate over email with you 2. I see we're all programmers, and we have talent in the art and music departments as well. Are any of you good at writing stories?

I think our skillsets line up very nicely. I'm a composer and a godot dev.  Here's my information: Da Flarf | Game Dev Finder

Hi Sebastian. I'm flarf. I have lots of experience composing in many different genres. I make music in sheet music, daws, and even with EXCEL SPREADSHEETS. I specialize in SNES chiptune and classical music, and I have a knack for writing 4 bar basslines. Here's my soundcloud. Stream Da Flarf music | Listen to songs, albums, playlists for free on SoundCloud

I work QUICK. I programmed this whole game AND made the soundtrack in a week Under Gunstruction by Da Flarf

Hi, I’m Flarf. I’m a Godot developer and a music composer. Here’s a game I programmed and wrote music for in under a week. https://da-flarf.itch.io/under-gunstruction

I'm looking to join a team as a composer. I have a lot of experience and can work quickly in a variety of styles. I specialize in music for SNES hardware, classical music, and I have a knack for writing basslines.  My favorite instrument is the harpsichord.

Here’s where I post most of my work: https://soundcloud.com/da-flarf

And here's stuff I submit for contests that I forget to upload to my soundcloud: Da Flarf on Battle of the Bits

I'm also willing to join as a developer, provided you are using godot. I have 3 degrees in computer science, computer engineering, and engineering technology, and I specialize in simple implementation of complex player mechanics.

If you would like to collaborate, I would prefer to use email rather than discord.

only if your first name ain't Sam XD. Otherwise you'd be Sam's Alt-man

No. Evil

WTH Dani alive?

Thanks for taking the time to check out my work. The chiptune is actually a relatively new development. For most of my time composing, I made pieces for harpsichord or strings. Can't wait to see what you do for this project!

Hi, Cancat Games. I'm Flarf, and I recently got done making my first game, along with its OST, in a week. Under Gunstruction by Da Flarf

I'm very interested in your project, and I would like to be involved as a music composer. I specialize in SNES chiptune, but I am familiar with a variety of styles. Here is a compendium of my work: https://soundcloud.com/da-flarf

Da Flarf on Battle of the Bits

I am also currently taking a course from Jason Graves, the composer of dead space, call of duty, and many other games.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Good to hear. Thanks for playtesting!

I'm a dev here on itch, and I make music as well. I make authentic SNES music (no soundfonts), and have a soft spot for harpsichord music. My main inspirations are castlevania, mega man, and anything capcom related.

If you'd like music for your game, message me

I just exported a linux build.

You can find it here: DaFlarf/GodotJam3-LinuxTest: a linux build for under-gunstruction

The repository should be public, but I have been known to accidentally make them private

Thank you!

No way your team got this done in 7 days! This entry is one of the best I've seen. Has the best music of any entry I've come across so far (other than mine of course, JKJKJK).

I'm surprised at how much playtime you were able to cram into one project! That starting puzzle was a tad buggy so I didn't get to play the actual game part of the game for a couple minutes while fiddling with a mouse. But once I did get to the actual game, it was amazing!

Looks great! How long did that take you?

You are forgiven. Go forth in peace

you didn't name the thread "trade ratings 4".  You monster. Now the chain is broken. What have you done? Order shall never be restored to Godot Jam #3

Thanks for the Feedback! I do intend to expand the game in the future. For the first update I push I plan to make the enemies take knockback properly,  give the player proper I-frames, and have a visual indicator of what weapons you have. If you want to be the first of the first to play the game when I expand it, follow me here on itch.

I'm going to play your game later today. I'll let you know what I think!

No I mean there literally isn't one that I can see. I went to your page and can't find the game

Sadly I already rated yours

Can't find a download or HTML build

That's definitely fair. I wanted to implement a combo limit, but I was already making the boss fight and the weapon system on the last day, so alas, it shall have to be an update

The bats leave no survivors...

I'm going to give your game a shot later today!
