The preface of this book hit home with me: I remember the first time I heard about Dungeons and Dragons, it seemed amazing. But then I stumbled upon the rules and was a little bummed. All that just to start playing?

I discovered that I loved the idea of what I thought playing dnd was like.

That's why I ended up loving rules-light games. And Everspark is pretty damn close to a perfect match if you wanna hit that play-to-find-out feeling. It might be a bit too light on rules for the most die-hard, rules-lawyer fans of ttrpgs but it's great to introduce new people to the hobby, and for people that really enjoys the creative liberty that comes with a rules-light ttrpg.

I've played or read a bunch of the games listed as references and I have to say that the Sparks mechanic is genius. I could easily see myself using it with other games too.

I have created a web generator that I use locally. Is there any issues if I upload it for other people to use? I'd link it to this page and, of course, make it clear that it's 100% based on your rules
