The slow gameplay wasnt really intentional, but the “tactical shooting” seemed fitting to us for the limited ammo. We didn’t really have time to do much balancing anyway, so we are very glad that the game came out nicely judging from all the positive feedback.
I believe it’s a difference with the code being scraped from their own website. I don’t think it’s great either, especially because they probably used private repos as well. But I think us programmers have it way easier to keep on going than artists and other creators, which already have a bad standing in the job market and now get gradually replaced by AI on top.
I can hardly imagine myself working without copilot anymore. I am just relying too much on it doing all the repititous stuff, and also some tasks where I would have to dig really deep into documentation.
That being said I don’t like asset generation tools. You can almost always spot the difference between an AI Asset and a real one. Also the ethics behind these tools (scraping tons of art and other creations without any regard to the artists that created them) is absolutely despicable.
Nice concept, graphics look nice aswell. Gameplay was fun too, but I had a couple of bugs that made the game a bit too confusing. I hope you can polish it a bit after this jam is over, would really like to try it again by then!
Nice game. Needs a bit polish around the edges, but overall a good gameplay loop. Also interesting concept to have the tools be used by swinging them around.
Theme is done nicely (quite a literal interpretation), graphics are good (some more interesting lighting in the storm phases would be nice) and the game loop is ok. My favorite moment was when I was almost trapped by a tornado, but ran in circles around it and got flung through the map.
Extremely impressive, that you have made a working boat alongside a water system and wind mechanic. Unfortunately, the core gameplay is extremely hard (to understand?). Played it for ~5 min and didnt catch a fish or get money once.
Really fun game!
Was a bit hard to find out what to do at first (didnt know that I had to step on the mushrooms for safety) but after reading the description again I was hooked by the simple but very fun gameloop!

SFX is definitely on my list! Systems are all done, but just didn’t have the motivation to find fitting sound effects for this version. But they will definitely be added in the next version(s)
Thank you very much for playing! It was both exciting to see someone else playing (and recording!) our game, while being pretty embarrassing to see all the flaws and bugs we let slip through.
