I thought about the plot of your game. The first thought that I had for me was that the girl at the beginning of the game infected the protagonist and the following days is the sensations of a sick person during high temperature. White people are microbes (perhaps covid?). The main character fights the disease. But what symbolizes the pit? The hero tries to dig a tunnel to escape from the disease? Or does he want to bury himself from the outside world? Maybe the allusion is not on the disease, but rather on the fear (or hatred) of society and how such a person sees the world. Perhaps white people are guys from the party? Satire for rotten society and noisy companies. Perhaps I dig too deep in search of meaning, but it is very interesting to know what the author put in the plot when creating. But probably this is a secret.
