these are really cool!! were they hand pixeled? love the lightning and fires ones :O

Thank you very much, Yanako RPGs! Yes. They are all hand drawn based on my personal workflow to come up with effects, which is:

Concept art (draw and color a "main" frame that best represent the effect);
Sketch pixel art version (trying to keep fidelity to concept);
Work on how the effect will fade away, except if it's a loop;
Work on how the effect will take place (start) and get to the "main" frame;

That's basically it!

That's awesome :) Very very cool, I'm not sure if we've ever connected before but I've often seen your work on here and also in the GameMaker steam feed and was always super fond of your style^^ Hope you're doing well in all your game and artly adventures!

I appreciate it, Yanako RPGs! Thanks for the kind words. I've been using Steam less often, only for gaming and posting some things, I'll probably get back to it when I have a real game to release! I am mostly here on itch.io and Youtube.

There is some much work to be done, so many unfinished projects. My plan is to polish some of them and bring them to fuition as full games, eventually.
