Possibly thats a false-positive
I’ve been receiving comments like this for a while, and I’d like to clarify a few things. Clippy was entirely developed by me from scratch using Python. It’s one of my many projects, and everything you see, including the libraries and modules I used to develop Clippy, as well as the functions that power its actions, were created or implemented by me.
Unfortunately, I frequently get negative comments targeting my projects, and I don’t understand why. I’ve explained this situation countless times, but let me reiterate: VirusTotal and similar sites often produce false positives. This can happen with virtually any game or software downloaded from platforms like Itch.io. In fact, anything you download from Itch.io might be flagged or blocked by your computer or antivirus software.
Some features of Clippy, like modifying files, opening files, pinning itself to the desktop, staying on top of other windows, or performing web searches, can sometimes be flagged as suspicious. However, these are common functionalities found in many assistants you can download online.
Before leaving a comment, please make sure you’ve actually tried the application, or provide concrete evidence that it’s a “virus” if you believe so. Unfounded accusations are unhelpful and unfair
