chill platformer with stunning art direction, and a fun metroid-style vibe! the player controls felt smooth in water, combined with the music/ambiance it really captured what is so great about water levels in video games. the physics did change on land, but it still felt a bit floaty; adjusting movement for different levels could add that contrast it was missing. some minor ui issues with music settings, didn't know i could check my inventory until i read the comments. still, it was enjoyable, and i'd love to see more development using items beyond just unlocking new areas, but given the scope of a game jam entry, it's not a big deal. i'd love to see how you would've implemented combat as well. amazing work overall!
