Wow, awesome idea!

The only thing i noticed is that the snowmen are drawn above the player

Hey Aschura. Yeah good spotting. I ran out of time to sort out the Y-sort stuff properly with the assets. I'll need to learn more about how it all works to get it looking good :) Thanks for playing!

A very great idea with a great atmosphere, but I faced a problem, which is the snowball, when it gets bigger, I cannot complete the stage.

Developer

Seems like you got too big! If that happens you can press R to restart the level :) The intent was to build out a puzzle game where growing bigger and smaller were part of the mechanics! A bit too ambitious for a 3 day game jam haha.

I liked the fact that I could grow bigger and bigger with the snow :)

Developer

Thanks for playing Cioncre!

Fun  idea! I like the snowball character, they are very cute! Very minor issue but some of the text in the game for me had some weird characters show up, not sure what's up with that.

Developer

Thanks for playing, and glad you like our character!

Yeah we noticed the font we're using renders full stops weirdly when exported to an HTML5 build, but didn't have time to fix it unfortunately. They show up fine in engine, bit of a weird one.

I wanted to rate and comment your back on your game but unfortunately all Godot games are just giving me a gray screen. Maybe my computer's too old. Anyways, just judging by the screenshots it looks very cute and silly and fun! Is there a reason why the snow is all orange in the screenshots?

Developer

Hey Dylanbb! That's a shame that all godot games do that :< Have you tried in a different browser maybe? I dunno what you use, but I find sometimes changing browser or clearing cache sometimes fixes these kind of things. Sometimes it can also be a browser extension interfering?

Thanks for trying to play anyways!

Yes the snow is coloured this way as it's "night time" and the train is giving off light in a radius :)

I loved the way the snowball just grows undefinitely, very fun!

Developer

Thanks for playing Yoiro! :)

I'm bigger than everyone! At level 3, I thought I'd get stuck in trees because of my size)

Developer

Oh wow, you got him VERY big in level 3! I didn't even know you could get that big in that level!

Thanks for playing Levakulitkov :D

I enjoyed it quite a lot. I'm not a fan of 2d games but this is just a great idea. the theme is there and the mechanic is different. what you can add is animations to the the train and some sound effects. some more cool levels and mechanics to expand it like train stops so that one can make there snow ball smaller.

I loved it

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed! Even more so that you don't typically enjoy 2d games.

I 100% agree, I'd love to start expanding it out to be a puzzle game, growing and shrinking the snowball to solve different things, and getting much better art put in!

Thanks for playing touch_grass! :D

Fun little game. Was able to beat all of the levels and see the mega snowman at the end lol. Level 5 I think had some pretty scary/spooky music. I guess the army of snowmen in that level were not so friendly haha.

If you decide to keep working on this game, I could see this as being an interesting extension to the game “Unrailed”, but you have to clear out the path in a different way.

One small feature I would’ve liked to see would be a small amount of self glow/light around the character. I definitely ventured way out into the dark and nearly got lost because it was hard for me to tell what I was hitting against.

Nice job!

Developer

YAY, I've been waiting for this comment. I was wondering who'd reach the "spooky" level first haha.

Totally understand the ask. I'll see what I can do after the game jam, as I can certainly see it being frustrating if you get hit by a bomb, and knocked out the light circle with no understanding of what you are getting stuck on. Great feedback, thank you!

It was really fun! I enjoyed it :)

removing all the snow feels satisfying, there's a bit of waiting sometimes for the train to catch up but overall this is very well made!

Developer

Thanks for playing ojsan!

I think you are right, I'll likely need to speed the train up. Perhaps I can add something that's like "If the snow ahead is clear, keep accelerating" or something. It's a tad too snow (slow) at the moment.

Interesting idea! The train is a bit too slow) But it's fun to play!

Developer

This answer is a little copy and paste but...It's similar feedback :D

Thanks for playing mora4!
