How does your game fit the theme?
The game involves needing to manage a city as it is getting progressively more flooded from a storm occuring. Theres a relatively calm early game where you can build anywhere and then eventually everything becomes flooded in late game as the storm gets stonger

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes

Great Game!! Amazing Pixel art and music!!

The games fits the theme well and both looks and plays really good. The main issue I have is food and water aren't explained well or shown on the UI so I know how much I have

Developer (1 edit)

Hover over the town hall to see food/water counts

Beautiful in it's simplicity :)

Amazing art style and very enjoyable game, great work !

The game is good, didn't immediately realize that you need to save up resources to survive as you hit the highest element quite late. I would like the main resources of the town hall to be in the upper right part of the screen.

Awesome game. I love how you have to quickly shuffle your population around to protect them from the flood, and then bounce back in-between bouts of flooding and try to generate as many resources as possible. Was running out of food and water on the last day and people started dying but I just barley made it. It took me a few attempts to get the hang of it, but it's probably the most fun game i have played in the jam so far.  Would be cool if it was expanded out into almost like a bad north type of game where you have to clear different tile sets and deal with further complications.

cute game and art style. the concept is good, very peaceful game

Really good concept. Feels a bit buggy sometimes, or just lacking feedback to the player, I basically didn't know what happened or why a couple of times, but I would love to see a bigger game out of this!

I liked your game, especially the pixel art. Quite a peaceful experience

That was an interesting take on a city builder! I liked the pixel art style for it, though I do wish the tiles were bigger so I could tell a bit more what was what, but it works either way. Nice job!

Very chill sort of builder/management game. Loved the music and the vibe, and the impending sense of the flood coming. Great work! Congrats and good luck!

It took me a bit to figure out how to play the game, but it was pretty fun after that! Love the isometric pixel art!

Very cute game, really sleek design and snappy controls. Love the isometric look and minimalist design. Building out your city is a lot of fun.

Very charming and good gameplay. Can get a little frustrating, and it feels like theres not enough room for everything to actually keep going. But its still fun. You get a great rating

If you could, check out my game :)

I love the simple style it has, brings a charm to it, game is quite hard to grasp at first and the flood takes over rapidly. I dont really see at first glance a use for water and food? I’m assuming houses gives more population max while food and water make more population but would be great if these details were written on the buildings

Developer(+2)

People consume food and water and then if you dont have enough they end up dying due to starvation. Yeah the buildings probably needed some more descriptions. Ran out of time to add an actual tutorial

Really fun loop. I didn't really understand what having negative wood and stone impacts, and it took me a while to realize i had to assgine workers for each unite. But still, it was amazing seeing the productivity going upwards with each station.

Negative resources is a bug

Oh! I was thinking that maybe it was increasing the floods lol

This is a really cool game. My one peace of feedback is that conduits seem insanely op. I placed a single mill and quarry and just spammed conduits and had enough resources for the whole game even after it all got flooded.

Nice game. Would`ve liked the camera to be zoomed in some more though.

The art, sound, and game play is amazing. simple control yet effective game play. I enjoyed the stressful resource management accompanied by the calming audio.

I like the minimalistic city builder / resource management game. It took me a while to figure out how to play, but it clicked eventually. There could have been a little tutorial text to explain what you need, and how conduits work. Then again, it was fun to figure stuff out on my own.

Biggest thing I would've liked is the ability to zoom closer, or just have the game be more zoomed in from the get go.
