One more, "You know who you are. Mr. Locked in the castle's food storage" (Should be a period at the end (granted, I don't usually bother correcting for that since it's minor and common), but stylistically, I wonder if you/people would prefer title case as opposed to sentence case after Mr. in this sentence. Personally, I feel like I see title case for frequently in these types of situations and I prefer it, but if you prefer it this way, I guess it might not be strictly wrong per se and be more preference?)
I'm not an Arthur man, but, I must admit that that scene in the glowing waters was beautiful artistically and the written words were touching too. I was hoping to speak to Nomax, but I ended up pretty satisfied with the update after Arthur's scene alone even if Wolf route is going through a rough patch. Great job on the art, truly a set of amazing pieces with Arthur and the Wolf + Raj variations!
I fear I may have missed a few typos, seeing as I kinda forgot about proofreading, but, what I recalled is here.
"I wouldn not dare claim otherwise. I am happy to stay in the realm of beauty and leave mathematics to more capable individuals like yourself, Mr. Hudson."
"Small...
useless...
Just as Arthur assumes you to be." (capitalization on 'useless', though uncertain if this was intended to be stylistic)
"The wind has dutifully moved ships since time immemorial. And besides, sir - would you sleep comfortably knowing there's a blazing furnace sitting below deck, waiting for a stray spark to ignite it" (missing question mark)
"Navy ships already have to deal with etensive precautions to minimize the chance of the magazine storage igniting and blowing up the ship. [cont.]"
"I don't think there's time time-"
"Well, I'm a Spaniard if the name and accent hadn't fooled you, but that doesn't mean I know my way around a little Moorish." (Given context after, Torres does know a little Moorish (given that is the language 'Ahlan' is from) thus double negative would be fine here)
"There's got to be some other reputable ships there. Maybe a few criss-crossing the mediterranean if I still needed to learn the ropes." (capitalization)
"Hey, big guy! Don't didn't anybody teach you any manners?" ()
"I'm a good listenener."
"It feels like almost a minute passes as the boat sways lazily, raindrops falling one after another, the time between them getting slowly growing longer." (Unsure if this is technically wrong as opposed to just being kind of awkwardly worded, personally I'd cut 'getting' here.)
Also, not a typo but man... I hadn't read the Leave path for Wolf when I first started my typo collecting and ooooof Wolf is just the king of breaking hearts over and over...
Ah, I just meant if there was a discord or something like that that you preferred fans to use to notify you of this sort of thing. This is fine too! Just didn't know your preference, different authors different preferences and all that. Just one pair of quotation marks will be used this time unless that's a typo that pops up again. Tried to bold errors.
Spoilers
"Sometims I feel like I'm pretending. Like... if I'm just positive and make people smile, then everything will be fine." (Sometimes)
"Despite having been chocked and left with quick, raspy breaths now, I left feeling nothing but pleasure... well, and some pain as well." (choked)
"Caijoru crosses his arms and looks up at the sky, letting out a sigh. Despite he usual confident demeanor, he almost looks perturbed." (his)
"By now, you should be exausted from all of your running and shouting [cont.]" (exhausted)
"Huh? How would ruin our friendship?" (missing word, maybe "that" or "it"?; further context, rejecting Ted on the Ted - Reject route after Ted confesses after talking about Rix, Adrian, & co.)
"I pull Ted's tail with one hand and grab my now rock hard shaft with the other, guiding it down to the baise of his tail until I get to his opening." (base)
Happy to see a new update! Was going through and reading some of the older parts to get a refresher, where would you like us to post about typos/proofreading mistakes? Just as an example, I found:
""Ted fidgets nervously when I ask, and I wonder if maybe asking him about their private chat was a bad idea."" (Tricky to format bc I typically put quotes around the quoted part of the text, but the error spotted was a set of quotation marks around a non-dialogue part of the text.)
Haha, I wasn't complaining about having the options. I do personally feel bad going for some of them because they are just... wow.
But on the other hand, I just can't leave a stone unturned here. I can't deny the curiosity that begs me to look at the obviously wrong answer. I was honestly shocked by the blackmail option and the fact that it didn't get us literally thrown overboard or held in a solitary confinement or something. They are a neat little addition even if you know that nothing good is going to come of going for them.
Wolf, my most cherished Conway crew mate, how cruel fate is to us... to relive the prior pain with wine, but now with rum... At least we got to reread Day 1 supper with you. Also, dang, there's a lot of places for Raj 'bad ends' for lack of a better phrase. I mean, not hard to avoid, but the balls on MC is absolutely absurd when you look at some of the choices you can make with her. Or the blackmailing option with Arthur. Wild stuff for sure.
Glad we finally got to see the pay off with being able to convince Arthur to let us stay.
Typos time: "With one hand you hold the bottle of wine, hastily covered by your shirt ..." I brought rum, not wine after seeing Perce
"You fish for the buttons of your shirt and open two of them - just enough for you to guide the bottle of wine through." wine ref again
"You don't strike me as someone who would be prepared enough to bring something along for you can trade." Messy end - easiest to just swap 'can' for 'to'
"I just thought it would be nice to share some wine with you when ..." Wine ref
Somewhat confused by a certain sequence, you can obtain the rum and not be able to bring it with you on the first go around (too nervous, which is understandable I suppose), but also not bring it with you on the second go around when considerably more desperate with nothing to lose? I think that's more of a writing/characterization choice, but putting it here in case it was a mistake.
"It doesn't matter that much of you don't know one in particular..." 'of' -> 'if'
"I haven't sent a single one of of them." Doubled 'of'
"Anyone would be better than than a confidence man." Double 'than'
Finally figured it out, needed the +1 with Raj. I was surprised that it also unlocked a bit of extra dialogue in the shirt mending scene?
Anyways, Wolf fans are served more heartbreak. My favorite boy, what must have happened for him to react this way? I look forward to seeing how Wolf route continues, that's really one of my favorite parts about the game, seeing how many different ways things can go. I just hope things are salvageable with him.
On a slow reread trying to get to Wolf's jumpscare,
"The other shirt should be quick, though. Torres threw it at me when I mentioned you, he said some fraying somewhere? I haven't checked it myself." Number of ways to fix it, simplest would be 'said' to 'saw' otherwise 'he said there was some fraying somewhere' or something like that works.
"I'm Sorry that you are going through this. I can imagine it's not easy to feel someone breathing down your neck [cont.]" Should be lowercase on sorry
Anyways, still can't activate that? I'm wondering if it's instead on the patreon build maybe? I started a new game and went through the whole game pleasing Wolf in case something weird happened to old saves and the game ends soon after Perce expresses disappointment that we don't want to pursue the bribe option.
Alternatively, the way I can speak with Wolf under the Jolly boat is under the leaving path, which I'm pretty sure has been around for a bit and there wasn't really a jumpscare there either.
That's odd? I have save files back from August and I've exclusively played on Mac. Was there something wrong with the prior build or were there any bugs fixed? Lovely game, just confused by what happened?
Or was this an expansion? If it did continue off of the update, it didn't continue when I loaded an old save which is odd, but idk, Renpy can sometimes be weird with updates.
"By the time you break through, you're just in time to see Julain ..." Julian
"Even though they know Aruthur's a bit..." Arthur
"Yeah. There I was thinking about maybe having a horse all along among the currents of the lonely ocean." I think 'along' is meant to be 'alone'
"Is it the grain tha does it for you?" that
"Judging by her tone, you're not sure he's going to take 'no' for an answer." Mixed Sam pronouns
"Not that he's in danger of being turned down." Found in route where I know Sam's pronouns
"You see Samuel's faint snarl as he reaches up to wipe away the remnants of the crimson stain on her cheek." mixed pronouns
All instances of mixes were on a route where I knew about Sam, but haven't been tested on a route where we missed that.
Pretty fun little experience and the fourth wall breaks are fun without being obnoxious like you see in some other works out there. I'm not sure if the lack of editing/spellcheck is a stylistic choice, some people do, but either way, it's a fun game that I hope updates!
The art style is cute and I like Eric and Alex in particular
ALLEGEDLY, (I haven't been able to get it to work on Mac and if this method is accurate no clue how it'd translate on android) it's the Konami code per this tweet (https://twitter.com/RandomVNGamer/status/1781083196471349463).
AKA, Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A (With the tweet claiming that it worked using the numpad subbing B & A with 1 & 3 respectively making for the input being 8 8 2 2 4 6 4 6 1 3). I tried both variants (directional arrows + B A and numpad notation) and it didn't work for me maybe because I'm on a laptop without a numpad? Idk. But if others can get it to work and someone could record it, that'd be good enough for me.
Super fun time and lovely shenanigans! Poor irrelevant what's his face...(but actually rip Hunter especially for people who've read FbI side stories).
Jeffrey is always a delight and his farewell was actually really heartfelt! Asher was probably my favorite here in terms of balance between antics and everything else. Poor Alon didn't get too much stuff between us and him as much as he got with Damien but I love the edgy, mysterious, lovable and cute wolf~ I didn't want to say goodbye to my boys, but alas, they had to go.
Meimaru was surprisingly cute too
I have nothing to say about this VN other than the highest praises, this is truly amazing. I love Griff so much, I have cried over this man already multiple times and reread his scenes even more times. His theme alone is just...perfect. It captures so much emotion that goes beyond words and I just need him so badly. The rest of the VN is great! Music, especially, I think, gets used so intentionally here and is to a degree that you just don't see as consistently in other VNs. Not to mention the art, sprites/their alterations and CGs alike are so impactful to getting the feeling behind everything.
*SPOILERS*
One thing I was curious about though, does route select sorta occur twice depending on who you hang out with after day one? I think it was said before that it wouldn't but when you go onto Griff route/hang out with no one and are free for Griff in the morning, it seems like you have no actual choice to make whereas hanging out with Ranzo gives you a choice between him and Griff. Will hanging out with Billy/Joe also leave you with only Billy/Joe + Griff as choices or is that just a temporary thing that'll change once their routes get updated?
That was fun! Obviously intrigued by whatever a kardion is supposed to be given MC's lack of talents atm but I think there's certainly some cute dynamics going on between the three of them. Modern fantasy setting is also pretty cool, the line about cell phones being in movies but not something MC had access to before really has interesting set up for exploration of what tech is/isn't present! A fun read to stay up to date on, I hope you guys can continue!
