We have more than 2000 databases with more than 500000 tables combined and we are starting to get SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 1615 Prepared statement needs to be re-prepared due to limitations of table_definition_cache parameter as it can only be maximum of 2000 in default mysql configuration. Can you add support to increase this value along with table_open_cache value? As a temporary fix we have implemented application level preparations but this is not as secure as mysql preparations. This is serious security risk and it should be fixed by configuring mysql not adding workarounds. Thank you very much!

Currently its only possible to upgrade a cluster. Thats great when we have alot of requests. But after the peak we would like to downgrade the cluster to same money. Currently the only option is to create a new cluster, migrate the date and delete the old one. But that is not a solution!

I would really like to be able to have a local replication slave of my live MYSQL8 DB for peace of mind. It appears however that this is not possible with the way GTID_MODE is implemented.

It would be nice to be able to use MariaDB as a managed database on DO in addition to MySQL, as it provides some features that MySQL does not, and it receives more frequent updates.
