Have been sitting in the same boat for around one month and 20 days. No response from the support on the main ticket yet. Not even the stated reason for suspension. Created a ticket two weeks ago from this [temporary] account and they've answered promptly that I should wait on the email for the original account. Probably answered by an initial reviewer or someone like that. Otherwise I can't explain the delay on the main ticket. Asked here about what amongst my content (which I described in detail) might have been the cause in theory almost immediately after suspension and the moderators closed it a few days ago with no suggestions... |

This community is managed by GitHub employees, but it is not a support forum. The only place to go for answers to account-specific questions like this one is opening a ticket on our Support page. This is a public forum, and the community is unable to assist with nor escalate your ticket, but we can assure you it is in the right place. It will be answered in the order it was received based on our team's resources and the amount of tickets ahead of yours. Kindly note that the only way to request the reactivation of a suspended account is by reaching out to our official support team. Any individuals or third parties outside of this designated channel claiming to offer assistance are not affiliated with us and are not supported, especially if they are asking for compensation. As no other Community Discussions team members will be able to provide additional help with account related questions I am going to close this discussion. We appreciate your understanding! |

My GitHub Account Was Suddenly Suspended Without Notice
I’m experiencing a serious issue that has significantly impacted my work and professional activities. My GitHub account was suddenly suspended without any prior notification or explanation.
This suspension came as a complete shock since I’ve always followed GitHub’s guidelines and terms of service. I’m an active contributor to open source projects, particularly in the Laravel ecosystem, and rely heavily on GitHub for both my personal and professional development work.
I’ve already submitted a support ticket through GitHub’s official support channel and attempted to contact them via email, but I haven’t received any response yet. This lack of communication is particularly frustrating as I have important repositories and ongoing project collaborations that are now inaccessible.
What concerns me most is that this seems to be happening to many developers. I’ve read similar stories from others who faced account suspensions without clear explanations or timely support. For those of us who rely on GitHub as a critical professional tool, this situation is extremely difficult.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? Were you able to resolve it? Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated as I try to navigate this challenging situation.
Thank you for any insights you can share.
