Bunnito's Feast (Amiga AGA)
A downloadable game
Bunnito's Feast
Bunnito is a cute, but slow and clumsy rabbit who mostly cares about eating. He's escaped his cage, and lost his way home in his quest for food. He's ended up in a cruel place, and needs your help finding his way home. Avoid the enemies, eat 20 pieces of food and find the exit!
Features
- Straightforward gameplay with two entertaining levels
- 50fps AGA graphics with detailed animation
- High quality atmospheric sound
- Pixel art and audio crafted by the author
Minimum requirements
- AGA Amiga or capable emulator
- 1 MB fast RAM or other RAM
- A standard 1-button controller (support for 2 buttons)
- A hard drive or a CD drive
Hard drive version
Download the preferred file (ZIP or LHA), extract the archive and put the game folder in any location. When running the game from Workbench, you'll need 1,91 MB free chip RAM and 700K free other RAM. Otherwise, the game won't start. If you're using WinUAE, you can set up a configuration to boot the game directly from a folder.
CD version
Download the ISO image and burn it to a CD (or mount it in WinUAE). The CD version can be booted on CD32 and regular Amigas equipped with a CD drive. Because of the memory requirements, the game does NOT run on an unexpanded CD32.
Game info
There are 20 pieces of food on each level, which you must locate and eat. After that, you'll get a notice that the exit is open. The carrots gives you an extra life. The top bar displays how many lives left, how many continues left and how many pieces of food you've eaten. Always keep your eyes open for food! If you missed one piece, the exit won't open, and you'll have to search for the missing piece.
Mastering the controls may take a bit of learning. Turn around too late while running, and you might slip and fall from a platform. Press fire to eat and make sure you're close enough to the food. Bunnito needs a second each time he eats, and he's not able to move while eating. So, timing is essential - especially to avoid being killed by enemies while eating! Pressing F9 will quit the game. If you have a two-button joystick or a CD32 controller, you can choose 'Fire2 to jump' from the Options Menu.
Disclaimer
The game is thoroughly tested, and runs fine with the above specifications. However, it cannot be guaranteed to work on any configuration out there, and the occurence of minor flaws cannot be completely ruled out.

Really cute game with great animations. Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 01:47:23. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂
Hyvä ja söpö tasohyppely. Lisäsin sen myös uuteen "Gameplay of New Amiga Games tammikuusta 2025" -videooni muiden äskettäin julkaistujen pelien ohella. Toivottavasti pidät videosta.
Thanks for including the game in your video!
I just bought it and I want to congratulate you for your game. It's beautiful visually and gameplay feeling is great. I must say, however, that I miss some parallax scrolling.
I can confirm it runs on A1200 with TF1230
Cheers from Buenos Aires, Argentina!
Keep up the good work! 💪🏻
Thanks for your support, Cachivache Soft! Very glad you like the game :)
What a fantastic game and what a great challenge, something thats lacking in many modern titles. We'll be bring you our full review in the next issue of ZZAP Amiga.
Thank you for the compliments! Looking forward for the review :)
This looks amazing. Just about to buy it.
hi, do you have an updated version without the memory check? Did that work for people with actual Amigas? I boot to HD, and even if I boot with a wb3.1 floppy I still can't free up 1.9MB
Hi bloubulsd, thank you for your interest! If you have downloaded the latest version, that is the updated version. There is no issue about the memory. But the game will always require 1,91 MB chip RAM and 700K free fast RAM no matter how you run it.
I made a video playing the game on real hardware with CRT. The game is fantastic!
nikosidis, this is so cool! I don't have a functioning Amiga at the moment, so seeing it on real hardware is very special for me. Thanks a lot for the video!
That makes me very happy to hear :) Glad you enjoyed it and hope to see more Amiga games from you. It is not often we get this kind of quality game on the Amiga.
Hi, should this work on the A500 mini?
Hi dansilvester. I never had the chance to test it on a Mini, so I honestly don't know... Maybe someone else knows about this?
This looks amazing, just bought it and can't wait to play it later! It's great to see a game developed with AGA in mind. It really shows, with the beautiful animation and graphics.
I get that not every dev is looking to go down this route, but I would definitely pay £30-£40 for a big box physical release, if it had a few more levels. Admittedly I'm a little bit biased towards this, as I'm both an Amiga fan and live with four well fed rabbits.
Thanks a lot! Love the idea about a physical release, but it would require something else, and I doubt the majority would pay the extra cost. Can't really see it happening, sorry. I don't have rabbits myself, but always liked them a lot :)
People would definitely pay for physical editions of a full length game as impressive looking as this. :D It's amazing what you've done here!
Thank you for the compliments, Mixelslab! I'll take it into consideration :)
I've sat down and spent a little time playing it now and it is excellent! Bloody difficult as well, so even two levels is gonna keep me coming back for a long time.
I get what you're saying about the work involved. I just wanted to acknowledge that you've got something special here, if you did think about taking it further.
Karnax, it feels great to know that there are people enjoying the game! Right now, I'll take a long break from Bunnito, and maybe in the future, there'll be a sequel :)
Thanks! What about an ECS version?
Sorry, there's no plans for an OCS/ECS version.
UPDATE: Uploaded a new build of the game, which solves the memory detection problem and also works on high specced systems with more than 16/32 MB fast RAM.
Love everything about this game! Sound, gfx and gameplay is top quality. Running on my A4000/030@25, 16MB fast. Thanks!
Thank you very much for your support and your kind words, nikosidis. Its highly appreciated :)
Stunning game. I just finished it with save states (I just had to see all the graphics). Those heat seeking birds in level two are no joke. Any plans to make more levels in the future? I would love to see some different background types with your incredible art skills. Here's hoping but either way thanks so much for dropping such a great surprise to start 2025!
Lionagony, thanks for supporting, it means a lot. The truth is I was considering more levels in the beginning (2 years back). At least a forest level was on my mind. But it was extremely time-consuming, especially because I'm not really a pixel artist. But I do think these two levels can provide many hours of entertainment, at least without save-states :-) Maybe there'll be a Bunnito's Feast 2? You just gave me some extra motivation! Thanks again.
Really good game, great work.
Thank you for the kind words!
Awesome game!
Thank you so much Saberman! And thanks for posting on Youtube :)
It can remind me to Wildwood. Good job!
Thank you! Wildwood looks truly amazing :)
