Greetings Sheriff, you've got mail. I suggest you take care of your elimination contracts.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

Controls:

  • Right Click - Start spinning the cylinder, then right-click again at the correct timing (circle around the crosshair) to continue increasing your spin combo and deal more damage.
  • L-Shift - Dash in the direction you are moving, granting you invincibility time to dodge attacks.
  • Left Click - Shoot. This will consume your spin charge!
  • WASD - Move.
  • R - Reload.

And while you're at it, you might as well try to set a speedrun highscoreSpin the shells like life depends on it.

KNOWN ISSUES :

  • Low fps - You probably need to enable graphics card usage for your browser in your Windows settings: System > Display > Graphics. If you don't find it in the list, you have to manually browse and add your browser executable, for example: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe". -- You can also simply download the executable version of the game for Windows.
  • I can use my nickname only once - On the web version of the game every play session is linked to a single nickname, if you refresh the page you have to get a new one. On the desktop version you keep the name between sessions.
  • I Can't log in - Either you ran into an internal server error, or the name you are trying to use has already been taken. Refresh the game page, and if the issue persists, please send me a message.
  • On some browsers, the camera has a bug where it flicks back - Unresolved, but changing browsers will most likely fix the problem.

Great game!

Thank you !

Very good game, it reminds me of Metal: Hellsinger, BPM: BULLETS PER MINUTE, games that combine FPS and rhythm elements. However, I feel that due to the map design (long corridors) and the boss's fast movement speed, these factors together make me end up walking backward and dodging attacks while facing the boss. This often prevents me from seeing what's behind me, and I also have to focus on stacking pistol damage. Many times, my backward movement gets stuck in certain positions, which is undoubtedly frustrating. I consider myself experienced with this type of game, but even I needed many deaths to get familiar with completing it. For less experienced players, the game becomes even more difficult. I think if the boss's movement speed were lowered or if difficulty settings were introduced, it would give players time to check the terrain ahead while being able to turn and observe the boss's movement logic. Players could also make decisions on reloading, stacking damage, or dodging, which would provide more positive feedback. I also think that if players restore 1 health point after reaching the full 5 layers of damage, it would help increase positive feedback. Currently, I feel that the game relies more on reflexes to dodge the boss's attacks, but it forces players to sacrifice their ability to observe the terrain in order to progress. The third boss, which spawns minions, also creates a challenge for many players who play this way, as they are already busy dodging the boss and struggle to see the minion position

Yeah it is true, there are many elements to be aware of at the same time, especially after the first boss (I already tuned down all the bosses a lot, but I get that it might be hard to do everything together at first). For new players it's hard, but I'm glad you made it to the third boss. Thank you for the review !

Yeah I actually might have to agree, it's something to do with how the boss interacts with the player, that makes the player interact with the environment in awkward ways. I didn't had a problem with the first boss actually, which means there might be a way to make it work. Also let's acknowledge the sick main screen

Broo. How am i supposed to compete against this?? It could easily be a steam release. Its dope asf.

Man thank you so much, means a lot to me !

Doesn't really function like a traditional fps, works more like a rhythm game hybrid. I think in this type of game the reloading just adds unnecessary difficulty.  I didn't really enjoy it. The game was extremely punishing right out the gate and the mechanics were not explained well at all. The dash is borderline useless and I had hitbox problems as well. Sweet ass main menu tho

Thank you for playing, what mechanics were difficult to grasp ? The dash is essential as it makes you invulnerable. Do you think the first boss is too hard ?

I guess I just didn’t know what to do initially with the consecutive charges on the gun. Took me a couple minutes to understand. as far as the dash goes, maybe I’m not using it correctly? i don’t think it was too hard. I just need to take less hits. I will try again later

Great game, each boss has its own unique mechanics, which is cool. But as already written below, there are problems with the dash. There is a feeling that the invincibility time does not work, in the end I used it only as a means to move faster. I would like to add a dash cooldown to the UI.

Also, on the last boss, small bugs are constantly aimed at the player. It is generally impossible to dodge their attack at close range.

There are also problems with the nickname, I went in several times and when I entered the same nickname, it says that it is busy, although the entry was not recorded in the leaderboard. And at the end of the game they offer to try to set a new record, but there is no restart button (or I did not find it). I will have to write a different nickname when restarting.

But in general, the game looks very cool, the mechanics of spinning the revolver drum are moderately complex.

Thanks for playing ! So about the leaderboard, since you are playing the web version I don't have a way to record your name permanently, if you play the downloadable version it will keep the name you used through every session. It is true though that I shouldn't be setting the name in the leaderboard without a score, For the dash making the dash better, what would you do ? Showing the cooldown, and making the invincibility longer ?

I think it’s worth showing the dash cooldown for sure. But I don’t know about the time of invulnerability, maybe I’m just clicking on the dash too late or too early. Invincibility doesnot last the entire time of the dash, does it? Maybe it's worth moving the window of invincibility.

I added the display of the dash cooldown, the invincibility starts the moment you press dash, and lasts like 0.3 secconds. I will increase it a little.

I tried it now on first boss dash feels better. But i think something was broken. Now game request name after first boss

I tried dash on the second boss and recorded it frame by frame and I think I understood what the problem was. The animation is hard to read and takes 266 milliseconds before damage is dealt (for humans the average is 250 ms). Because the attack animation is not immediately recognizable, the delay in pressing the dash increases. Plus, the damage hitbox is like the entire boss model and not just the sledgehammer, so the damage is dealt even before the sledgehammer hits the player. And I don't see where the dash cooldown is, I probably tried all this on the old version. If anything, I attached a video of me trying to dodge without being distracted by shooting, maybe it will help fix it.

Yeah, the new version includes the new UI. I see what you mean, I think its 2 different approaches, you would expect the player to see the attack and be able to dodge it if you press dash quickly enough. The problem with this, since the boss will only do that one attack, if you can dodge every attack by just pressing 1 button it will be too easy. I expect the player to anticipate the attack when the boss is close. That said I appreciate your feedback and it would be totally valid for me if the boss had more different attacks. Thank you !

Not hit possible

Pretty cool game, but i dont get the ideia of the dash, everything just tp or go straight at you, it is realy scuffed to dodge attacks.

Did 3 contracts, the creep really got me annoyed.

Thank you for the feedback! Well the dash is essential as it is used like a dodge for its invincibility time which allows to dodge the aggressive attacks by simply pressing it, not physically dodging it. Thank you for playing, a lot of updates are comming until the end of the jam on balancing and content.

Got it, so its just my bad timming
