Hello and Welcome!

Pocket RPG gives you a light RPG rule system and a set of charts and tables for solo play, all on 2 pages! It is important to note that there is no setting included here, just rules and tools. It is black and white for easy printing, and in a default Calibri font, so you should have no trouble opening it up in Microsoft Word and adding your own tweaks. Both the PDF and the MS Word file are included in the downloads.

It's a little boring to look at, but the goal of the project was to fit everything I need to make characters and adventures that I want to come back to on one sheet of paper. The style of play is more exploratory than heroic, meaning the dangers you encounter may be too much for you to handle immediately and you'll have to find a clever solution, or come back to them later.

I made this mostly for my own use. I have been playing with a regular RPG group nearly every weekend for the past 17 years, and there are some games that the group doesn't want to play. I take those worlds (and many of my own design) and use my solo tools to play on my own time. These tools can also be used to play with a group, or might come in handy for a GM who needs a little extra help writing adventures.

To play, you will need a deck of playing cards (with the Kings removed), a pencil and index card to use as a character sheet, and perhaps a notebook if you'd like to record your adventures.
