Bourbon, horses, KY basketball, bluegrass, & KY cannabis. These things defined much of my formative years & into my mid-life still are a part of my soul. I grew up in Lexington, KY & lived there until college years. KY has a lot of misconceptions about it, but one that many don't realize is how strong the connection the area has to legacy cannabis market. I'd Pepsi challenge some of the flower that came of KY in the 90s / 00's with any other black market flower I sampled over the years. The same ag roots that made tobacco & bourbon staple crops helped cannabis find a solid footing. If you don't believe my read the book, Bluegrass Conspiracy. I remember skipping school, rolling up a joint, & heading out to the track to catch the next horse race at Keenland (a bit of nostalgic magic to this day) I strongly recall putting on Nappy Roots "Po' Folks" as I drove to work at the Red Mile (1st job / quarter horse track) & taking one-hitter puffs on break. That's why KY's legalization of medical cannabis (2025!) is more exciting to me than the usual market change. It's also why I jumped at a chance to visit Frankfort KY this week to speak on marketing & cannabis in a soon-to-launch medical program in my home state (plus expensing trips to see your family never hurts) I'll be speaking Friday about going to market in a pre-medical market & considerations for licensed companies as they consider brand buidling. 🌟 Excited for the VMX! 🌟 The VMX Conference is just around the corner, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to attend one of the largest veterinary expos in the world for the first time! With thousands of attendees, countless exhibitors, and an incredible lineup of speakers, this event is sure to be a whirlwind of energy and opportunity.  P. BRIJLALL      After a workplace accident, WSIB put me through hell and made my injuries twice as worse  permanently then robbed me of my benefits just because of the colour of my skin. Sandra Di Carlo the case manager took me out from physio therapy that was helping me with my recovery and sent me to wsib Doctor and physio therapy that made my injuries twice as worse permanently. Deb Remekie, The lady at WSIB that robbed me of my benefit, she said that I can sell jewelry, she thinks because I am black I can steal jewelry and sell, so she decided to rob me of my benefit. And it's not a joke she said it verbally and in writing. And believed it or not the APPEALS TRIBUNAL agreed with her without a doubt or any question Atal. The Tribunal did not look at my file, apparently they don't even care to look at my file. The WSIB is an independent organization that operates at arm’s length from the ministry and oversees the administration of workplace safety and insurance benefits and services. As a result, the Minister and ministry staff cannot comment on or get involved in individual cases.
